Now to just get to 70.. Any suggestions?

Im 5 boxing elemental Shamen and thus far wow what a experience this has been! Hands down the best WoW experience I have ever had...EVER. But now that im 60 im kinda stuck on where to go and what to do. I dont know of a leveling guide for 60-70 thats really helpful to multiboxers or as I like to call us the anti collection people. That being said the Xp has really started to suffer. Could someone tell me what they did what they are doing or what they plan on doing I would really appreciate it as of right now I feel im in a slump that I cant wait to get out of.

Thanks
-Jon

I leveled my quad-box shamans 60-70 just doing every quest possible (GATHER QUESTS SUCK). Never did an instance, although I stopped at lv 69 for pvp so I wouldn't get owned by full s4 people in BG's.
Hellfire -> zangar -> terokkar -> nagrand -> shadowmoon valley -> netherstorm.

hope that helps soom

hope that helps soomI just finished the 60-70 grind on a trio. I did a lot of collection quests, not all of them, but a lot. You're really only alternative is to grind mobs / drops or grind instances. I did a bit of instance grinding, but mostly questing. The best thing is having your setup to where you can easily switch toon is the "main" so that you can loot everything with that toon, once you have your drops, switch and just work your way down the line.

When I hit 60, I jumped right into outlands thinking my 5 shaman would do just fine in the instances... After first couple of pulls and first boss, I was told otherwise. So I went to Wowhead, pulled up all the quests in Hellfire that dropped mail caster gear and just went to town on all those quests. After I completed all of those quests, my shammy's were in solid mail gear and at level 61.

I jumped right back into Ramparts for another round and what a world of difference. Started clearing Ramparts and up to the first boss in Blood Furnace and stayed in those 2 until almost 64 since the xp was easy. Then I started throwing Slave Pens and Underbog into the mix and before I knew it, I had Earth Elementals and it was smooth sailing in instances to 70... Not always the fastest, but to me was definitely the easiest... Hope this helps!

Well, my first multi-box team hit 70. I've been quad-boxing. I've started leveling past 60 with patch 3.0.2. I've skipped almost all collection quests and hit 70 in Netherstorm, never entered SMV. Instance-wise only did Ramparts and Blood Furnace.

So you don't have to waste any time with slow collection quests, just skip them. Patch 3.0.2 reduced the required xp for level 60-70 by 30%, and it helped a lot.

Now that the XP needed to go from 60-70 has been severely nerfed you can do non-collection quests all the way to 70 without hitting a single instance. Just go through each zone and only do kill quests, travel quests, or collection quests that only require a single item.

I boosted 1-60, so all my guys were naked and gearing up was my first priority. Not sure what your gear is like but just cherry pick all the good gear questlines from HFP/Zang first (ancient crystal talismen and vengenge of illdari especially) then I did a mix of instances and questing all the way to 70. Instances seemed like the best xp per hour, pre 3.0 patch I was leveling every 3-4 hours so now it will be even more insane. Once the instance starts getting stale youve gained enough levels to move up to the next one which works out pretty nice

Honestly, im not sure if clearing instances as a 5 shaman group ever gets old. Its just crazyness

I just hit 70 Friday night in Nagrand not even halfway done with the quests in there. I did every quest I could with my 4 box shamans, collections and all. I did this to be able to quest after 70 for gold so that I could get my epic flying mounts. I have to say, doing all the "trick or treat" buckets was a nice little chunk of exp too. As for instances, when I hit 66, I soloed Ramparts, Blood Furnace, and Underbog (last boss here sucks), but otherwise I quested.

Honest to God this has to be one of the BEST boards on the planet the help and advice is Top notch. I have started to put myself into the mind set that collection quests really arnt all that bad so im going to start to do a few of those I believe. At the moment I must say I am a little scared to do a instance run (im level 62 now) But I think after reading some of the advice here Well I think I just might give it a shot. Might as well start getting used to that and collection quests cause we all know that Lich king is gonna have it for sure!

I find you don't "get used" to collection quests, one of the biggest reasons we hate them is that they simply arn't worth the time, let alone the hassle.

Abusing bad examples, the Zepplin part quest where you need to loot 30 broken pieces: You waste 30*3-5 seconds*5 characters for all of 10k exp each? Mobs in ramparts give you ~700(unrested) each and you can kill them much more effectively.

You are 200% correct on this I had never tried to do a Instance before last night and I personally feel I was tearing it UP!!!! Now its just a debate on if I should plvl a tank for myself and the answer to that is a resounding ummm I dont know.
