So I'm wondering what you guys think would be the ultimate 5 man class setup for WotLK - for PVE.
Forgetting pain in the butt factor of setting up macros etc...
So far I'm thinking
Pally Tank - Increase healing received (devo), Damage Reduction via Sanc OR Mana Regen OR Kings
Resto Shaman - Chain Heals, haste totem, Heroism or BL, flametounge (spell power)
Ice Mage [critical strike debuff] - Group int, 10% increase to crit (winter chill)
Lock [spell damage taken debuff]- Curse of elements - 10% more damage, nature debuff
Druid - balance - 3% haste (imp. moonkin form), 5% crit (moonkin aura), mark of the wild, faerie fire (lower armor), insect swarm (lower melee hit), Earth and moon (debuff that doesn't stack with lock)

Instead of lock - it might make sense to have a shadow priest for fort, mana regen and hit chance (misery)

Doesn't misery overlap with Imp FF?

Yes it does. Misery is a bit better though - but not sure if it's worth adding a SP. They sorta suck now anyway.

how is CoE( 10% more damage debuff) better than EnM ?( 13% more damage )
edited to 13% ( i see now that the locks debuffs resistance as well as adding dps. However I still think druid brings more to the table.

- balance - 3% haste (imp. moonkin form), 5% crit (moonkin aura), mark
of the wild, faerie fire (lower armor), insect swarm (lower melee hit),
Earth and moon (debuff that doesn't stack with lock)Exactly the set up I have arrived at. Suspect a DK will be a much better tank than the Pallie, though, due to the increased resist spell damage and resist debuffs. You can also get the same 10% increase crit from Fire Mage (Scorch), plus Fire Mage is a lot higher DPS. I pick Ice for a little more control and the mana regen from the pet; just a shame the Ice 51 point talent is so poor considered to any other (its one of only 2 out of all classes 3 talent trees that are seen as practically useless for what they are).
Pallies have taken MASSIVE nerfs on test, which will severely hurt all three talent builds, as an aside. Don't forget they also bring 20% melee slow to the party, though.
You don't need an SP for mana regen with BoW, Mana Totem and the Water Elem pet in the party.
Druids DPS are miles ahead of every other class at the moment, including Rogues, Hunters and Mages. They, in turn, are way ahead of Shammies. If things don't change multiple Druid teams will become FotM. Personally, just for fun, I'm going to play around with my 4 Hunters / Priest. Theres i no bigger WTF ! moment on an enemeies face than when your entire team and your cats come out of Shadowform and stealth 15 yards in front of them. :D Having said that, for BGs etc bird pets really seem to mess up opponents minds. They just cant focus or think straight with 4 or 5 bird pets flapping around their heads.

Almost the same setup as me. Exept I hated paladin tanking so I decided to use my warrior.
