Im finding if i try to do the run through and turn a lot of mobs will strafe off to my side (as the Dogs of War gentleman indicated)... backing up seems to be much more reliable thus far.

Just gotta keep practicing, since of course id love to spin. Mlelee LOVES stabbing stuff in the back =P

I am new to dual boxing - tried various combos over the last 45 days. I find ranged class combos to be very easy but I am having trouble with melee classes. It seems that one or both of my toons constantly gets out of position, out of range, turned, etc. The only thing that seems to work is to pull a mob to me. Then I can make sure the mob gets into a nice position between my characters as I smack away. Problem is this is excruciatingly slow.

I've become pretty adept at positioning and moving both toons from one screen. I use WASD for the main and arrow keys for the other toon, but it has limits. It is easy to just back a hunter up to get into rifle range = much harder to use arrows to reposition a warrior so he can swing again

I really want to dual box a warrior and shaman. Any tips?

generally the strategy is to run the main through and turn him around

alt------main>-------------------monster

alt--monster---<-- main

there was a much more helpful post, "dogs of war" or something of that nature, but I can't seem to find it sorry

It takes a lot more practice when you're boxing melee characters. I have a 5-team of Rogues that can kill stuff very fast. One of the things I do on them is that I made a macro for damage abilities, like Sinister Strike, that include a /follow focus command so that they are always following the leader while I spam that button. Another thing is to practice either running through a mob on the lead character so that the alts are in melee range, or pull the mob and back peddle a little on the leader so the alts are in range.

Melee are just not as easy to box as ranged / casters.

Thank you - run through them and turn - man - seems obvious now :)
