So I'm contemplating making a hunter team to have some fun with until lich king arrives. I'm not sure what healer to grab, so suggestions are welcome.

Currently I'm leaning towards (resto) shaman for windfury (although I think I saw a blue post about this totem not affecting ranged in future posts), strength of earth, heroism, reincarnation etc., although priest AE helas might be nice also. Paladin healer is an option also, with BoM, but I do like the wipe protection reincarnation allows.

Any ideas?

Wipe recovery is an awesome tool, and a shammy brings quite a bit, but yeah, windfury won't affect ranged anymore, hunters became too O.P. with it.
both priest and pala have good aoe heals. Priest brings the least boost tho, "only" hitpoints.

Not to try and sidetrack too much, but does WF now affect hunter/warlock pets?

Paladin for hunter heal bot..... - attack power buff for pets = whoa. Mana regen for hunters = thanks.

I leveled four hunters up with a Druid, but if I had to do it all over again, I'd pick a Shaman. Chain Heal for all pets to top off after they've swapped agro a bit and CL just to add to the dps.

Paladin for hunter heal bot..... - attack power buff for pets = whoa. Mana regen for hunters = thanks. With the new AoV - mana is not an issue. I can do an entire instance with AoV on and NEVER go OOM. I understand they are tweaking AoV in 3.0.3, but I still think it's the answer to hunter mana issues. And it's only getting better in 3.0.3 from what I can see. ;)
