1 priest, 4x mages, who should be main?

I saw a youtube video of a multiboxer controlling 1x priest and 4x mages where he used the mage as the main instead of the priest. I can't decide on which class I should control. Priest to me makes the most sense, but after leveling my 5box team to level 6, now thinking the mage is a better way.

I would definitely go with a mage, cause your main is mostly likely pull aggro(cause it casts first) and therefore more likely to die. And guess what, those mages aren't rezzing anybody :).

But as with everything, you do what suits your play style best. For pvp you may want the healer to be your main for quick reactionary heals.

Personally, I am not capable at all to do something so asymmetrical as having 1 priest, 4 mages and not have the priest as the lead. Seriously, I could not do it.
As far as the cast first thing. Just have the priest spells be cast sequence with the first in the sequence as nothing. so you double tap it and the mages will cast first. :P

I just control my mages with keybinds, and the priest with the mouse, and run the priest as main.

I've done it both ways at 70 in PVP & PVE, & I feel that for me:

Mage Leading:
Better Overall survivability of the main. I am able to use the Frost Pet's Freeze ability in ways that I couldn't with the priest as the lead.
Heals are marginally harder to coordinate well, its not bad but it's noticeable.
DPS is marginally easier to coordinate in my opinion.

Priest leading:
Easier, but Less effective overall. Priests are squishier than mages, Lack of Iceblock is a killer. it's usually the main that takes most damage in most multibox setups, & I just feel that mages are slightly beter suited.

I'd go priest main. Disc priests are insane to try to kill with resilience. Also, Mass Dispel is your friend.

He raises a good point. You will need mass dispel for any serious pvp and its a stupid targeting aoe spell :(

I like hiding my priest in with the warlocks, most people dont realize that one is a priest until it's too late and he's already healed all that damage you did... and now you are dead. That's why I keep one warlock as a main, and with SL combo its pretty hard to kill a warlock with someone healing it. Now if my priest was the main, there would be no question who you need to kill first.
