Anyone tried her since the most recent maintenance period (10-21-2008)?

I did it on Monday at the fight was easy because the crack protected you from the thunderstorm. Well today, I have tried it two times and I am getting hit on all 5 guys and I am as far back as possible. I wonder if they made a fix to the wall so you are no longer out of LoS of the storm?

I have seen posts about this crack and asked for screenshots of the extact area a couple times. Never got one. All I know is I was killing her prenerf so post nerf she was easy.

I did it yesterday with the 'safe spot' because it was my toons first dungeon at 70 ^^. Cleared the whole place.

I think calling it a "crack" is misleading - it doesn't look like split rock. Standing in the entrance to her room, there's a pillar/wall to your right - just past it begins the stone wall that forms the Hydromancer's room. if you set your guys between the "artificial" pillar and the "natural" stone wall, and back them up, you won't/are unlikely to get hit by storms. Perhaps "nook" or "niche" is a better word for it?

Hmm, I don't have a screenie, but I can describe it. You are standing right outside of the room where said hoochie mama is. If you barely step into the circle and look 90 degrees to your right there is a crevice in between the walls. Walk your guys there like you are putting them in the corner for time out, then turn around until you are looking at her. Then drop your totems (if applicable), rush in with your tank and burn her down. The worst that has happened to me was one guy hot hurricaned (cc'ed) at the very end, but she still died :/

L2P, Just make a seperate macro that moves all your toons from left to right, and just alternate between storms. Chainheal if you get one tick.

You will need to learn anyways. No cracks at MGT heroic to stand in while he casts flamestrike on your ass.

Is the crack doing the work or is it the fact that you are tanking her away from the other guys? In other words does this work with a 5 shaman team where she will be close to the whole team.

And I would like to echo something that gets said in guild all the time "SS or it didn't happen"

I think I know the crack/niche that everyone is talking about. When I tried this area I did get caught by the thunderstorms on my team of 5 shaman.

With 5 shamans you can still get a storm on you... easiet approach is to drop your elementals more in front, move the shammies as far back into it as possible - there is a slight overhang that helps prevent the storm from forming over top of you. From my experience it's not a 100% thing but overall you are less likely to get hit.

The only even mildly challenging thing about this fight is that you need to move your characters sometimes. Just bind the followers to move when you push the arrow keys. Keep them all in one spot and when a storm pops, move them all. This was how I beat her easily before the patch. Of course, I also have a tank and healer.

How in the world do you heal through it? It two-shots my shaman. On heroic mode, its a 1.5 shot.
hmm 4x chain heal spam takes care of it for me, throw in lhw if i catch that they're taking too much damage.

Did this one on heroic and really didn't have trouble. Shamans have ~10.2k hp unbuffed (4 shamans) from pvp gear which is helpful I suppose, but there's two clouds on heroic so that's a challenge I guess. I don't use follow for this fight though, I use strafe on all four toons which gets them out of the clouds easily. I roll with a warrior spec'd into arms who sometimes puts on a shield to D up when needed. This boss dies very fast though.
