I'm not too keen on dropping $20+... is there some other thing on SourceForge or something?

if $10 is too much for you, autohotkey is available

it doesn't do everything that keyclone does, takes quite a number of hours/days to set up, and it could be bannable as scripts are possible... but its free

seriously though.. is a one time $10/cpu killing you? i was making $30/week mowing lawns when i was 10. by 12 i was doing $3.10/hr (or about $100/week).

i guess there will always be people that want others to work for them for free.

and here i was being told i wasn't charging enough...

Im not sure what you're trying to say, but yes, just to run 2 accounts at the same time with some ease (ie: one keyboard), It would be nice to not have to pay an upwards of $50.

I am 15, however, I would just rather use something available freely because this is a fun thing to do and I don't want to pay for stuff :\

EDIT: Actually, I'll be completely honest. I'm hesitant on using ANY program. I'd rather not take the risk of being keylogged or something. Not accusing anyone of anything, I'm just really paranoid about those kind of things.

your math is a bit wonky. if you use keyclone, you can run both accounts on a single machine. as such, you only need 1 keyclone... $10

if you have multiple machines, then you'd need a keyclone per machine... but with only 2 accounts, you'd max out at 2 machines. (tough to run 2 accounts on 4 machines)

and AHK is free... you'll just have to work at it to get it going.

as for being nervous about software.. i can understand that. i only ever load software i receive from reputable sources with some level of accountability (like i could call them). if i could not get in touch with the people, then i'm pretty nervous.

and if keyclone was doing anything like that, i'm sure you'd hear about it all over this forum... there are quite a number of hardcore geek types here watching everything.

and need i mention, ALL viruses are free...

Yes yes, I realize that.

I'm sure that if it was infected this forum would be going insane.

Don't worry, I'll most likely end up buying one if I ever get WoW installed on this new Mac -.- Darn failed disks!

if you are using a Mac, look to CloneKeys.

The answer to your question is no. There is no good alternative. If you want to make one, feel free, though, as that is the nature of open source. AHK has some major downsides. Synergy can be successfully modified to do keyclone like things. Either will work in lieu of keyclone with certain hardware configurations.

Complaining about 10$ per machine is bizarre, to be honest. It's the tiniest fraction of the total cost of multiboxing. You are spending more than that, per month, on the account. You'll end up spending more money on electricity, too.

If you are worried about a one-time 10$ fee per machine, multi-boxing seems like a really bizarre hobbey to take up.

Time is money *shrug*

$50 vs dozens of hours getting AHK working is a fair trade.

EDIT! Found it, thanks :)

Is it possible to be keylogged on a mac?

or someow consume some radioactive material and grow 4 more right hands to use 5 mice at once..

Oh and I think everyone here will tell you that keyclone is safe...

well besides that naked picture of kermit the frog that randomly pops up during use, i would say it's A-OK :)
