hey guys,
living in Aussie like I do... It makes it pretty hard to find a friend in the US....
I know where they live, names etc.... I'm just trying to get a phone number.
Is there any chance a US citizen could do a search on public registery.
They live in Michigan by the way.
thanks in advance!
try this page ('http://www.whitepages.com/') you should be able to find the number that way.

If they're friendly you could send them a letter.
If they defrauded you phone the police department in their area, if they arn't helpful contact the FBI.

www.whitepages.ca also works for the U.S. and usually has good information when it can find the right person.
