Focus issue when main gets CC'ed

Normally this is not an issue since I am PvE entirely when I MB, but in my first run in Sunken Temple today my pally was turned into a frog. I use divine shield to break it, but I was immidiately hexed again. So I am like, no problem, totems are up, and so I go to do a chain lightening on my shamans. "No Such Target" I am tabbing and targetting and still "No such target". I switched my focus to another char (I have that setup for ctrl-F1 through ctrl-F5) and was able to target and fire at will. But I was suprised to find that when my pally is turned into a frog the macro "/cast [target=focustarget] Lightning Bolt" will not work. My pally still was focus, and it had a target, but for some reason it would not work. Does anyone know what forms of CC cause this to happen?

yep. happens when you're hexed, sheep, feared, seduced, or whatever other way someone can CC your main. common problem.

just switch focus/mains, which you did, and you should be fine.

Yeah, happened to me too.. I thought, why the f*** do I lose my target when CCd??? Well, I had one solution: kill the casters first.. worked for me, when I did my lvl 50 class quest in the ST, and I never got Hexxed again :D:D:D

if focus exists assist... if no exists target=lasttarget?
