Ok, so there are diferent opinions on this, here is mine...

OMG, i can not stand it...at all. I was introduced to x-perl at lvl 60, now I can't live without it. After the latest patch, I stopped playing wow until x-perl got updated (or until I found it). Can not stand to play without it I'm afraid :( I find the default UI bland, not big enough, hard to interpret sometimes and not enough information included with it which I need/want when I'm healing. Thy are starting to get better but nup, not having any of it!

So yea, X-perl is THE addon I would choose if I was only allowed one.

How about you guys? Do you love/hate it? What addon can't you live without? Could you only live with just one addon? kgo...

only add on i run whlst MB'ing is multiboxer v2. i find that every major patch screws them and i just could not be bothered trying to keep up with them.

If i raid with a single shamy i only use a agro management add-on.

Anyways while I CAN live without addons I'd prefer not to. My core addons consists of:

Xperl for frames
Click healing for.. click healing and
Jamba for multiboxing junk

lol, I'm also trying to troll another forums but not many people are posting there atm. These forums are so fun...and much more interesting, and altogether more intellectual tbh.

true that man, except I have a pretty good memory lol - almost photographic - I can almost always remember what item is in what bag lol :)

I also run titan bar because it shows money, xp/hour, durability, latency, ammo, bag space, loot type, etc all in one glace around the screen. I used to run moog hud but disabled it because I realised I barely looked at it, it was too plae. I might get another HUD instead. I have omen and recount (disabled when I dont need them), multiboxer, quest announcer, ORa2, DBM, lifebloomer (tried it out for lols, but didnt need it), used to run grid but xperl frames are better imo. Mobhealth2 and mobinfo, ratings buster, used to run prat but kept forgetting about it. And a lot of others that are fun, like piratespeak :)

Posting to break up your little chain reply ;) there is an edit button you know. I used to have a bag mod to put all the bags into one but I'm not sure I actually like that nowadays. I just run with the default bags and open ALL bags bound to the B key instead of just the backpack.

But yeah... my addons since patch 3.0.2 consist of xperl, arkinventory, questannouncer, tourguide (for alt groups), tomtom, quest helper, sct w/sctd to edited to show my party's dmg, atlastloot enhanced, and Prat 3.0. I typically also run FuBar but that hasn't been updated yet (as far as I know anyways lol)

piratespeak is one of the best addons I have ever used. What it does it alter your chat (only what you say) to sound like a pirate. It skips a lot of letters whilst adding a lot of ' around everywhere. 'Ye' gets used a lot. And 'lol' and 'haha' get changed to that tickles me wooden leg and oh ye scurvy dog that war funny harhar. Stuff like that :)

Some people get annoyed by it though because they can't understand what you are saying...you know, the same people who shout back CAPS when you accidentaly press caps lock (funny story, I actually struggle to read lower case writing and prefer caps. Whenever I write using a pen I write in a flowing caps style).

There is a mod (called vendor trash i think lol) that will automatically sell all your greys in your bags when you open up a vendor window.

The main thing I don't like about the all-in-one bag is that it takes up too much room and I can't click on targets with it open.Yeah, I have that mod too, forgot to mention it :P It's called AutoprofitX. I loveloveLOVE it hehe However, if I have ArkInventory I can live without it because it sorts my grey items into their own category. :)

Oh! If you want to get SCTD set up, here's the post ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=5733&pageNo=1&highlight=sctd') to the code. And all you need to get is SCT ('http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/scrolling-combat-text.aspx') and SCTD ('http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sct-damage.aspx'). It's super easy to set up. But just so ya know, SCT and SCTD options aren't updated (at least not on mine) so I have them disabled.

Most of those chain posts were because someone else replied, even asking me personally a question, while I was still writing my own post. So when I come back to "new posts since last visit," that post will show up, I'll click reply to it and voila, two posts in a row.

Now, in case you haven't noticed, the majority of my posts have been in conversation with someone else, a conversation is two-way and does require constant input, hence, multiple posts.

On another note, I'm not the only one, so I don't know why you decided to single me out, but oh well. And, I'm pretty sure it's more than 5 posts.

Ui Mod junky here quick brief:

I was a former single toon raider and modded my ui something cronic. I had multiple installs and Ui's for just the ONE toon. Eg I had a fully decked out modded to the max no everything that was happening on screen, a farming ui for the times I'd spend just aoe'ing mobs and had pretty graphics, a PVP focused UI with the arc health/mana bars to avoid the "tunnel" approach that some ui modding can give and also a Minimalistic Ui where there was one action bar and single line player frames. I would spend hours/days working refining mods to be just right then package them up and distrubte to friends.

Multiboxing: I worked to minimise unessacry addons so that the game was still purdy, played with ok fps and had all the info I needed. Approx 20 or so diff mods. After a while i realised that only the brain needed all the tweaks and ran the drones with aguf or pitbull frames (depended on the mood i was in LOL) and multibox addon. Then tbh all i needed to do was disable all the pretty addons that aren't really needed when playing and got the main and clones working with just a player frame mod and multibox addon.

PATCH DAY: I spend the whole week tweaking, searching and re-editing mods/ui's to work with the update. A whole week out of leveling and I am seeing mates enjoying playing the game whilst I sit in IF tweaking settings loggin on and off, switching box's copy pasting etc etc.



CONCLUSION: DEFAULT UI with all bars showing with keybindings for all. Add your choice of box addon be it Jamba or Multibox etc. Then when you need to load on demand your auctioneer, mass mail, cartographer, gear comparing mod, outffiter/closet gnome/item rack etc, titan panel/fubar etc, bag mod ark inventory etc etc. You can spend a lot of time setting up the perfect UI and adding all the bells and whistles in the world, to only one day have a mod conflict or a patch day screw you royally. You will get attached to your modded UI and will find the defaut UI ugly, unplayable even. You cant go wrong if u setup the default UI to be a box friendly interface and learn to play with more bindings. That's my opinion and I could honestly say across all accoutns I'd have any easy 60 odd levels worth of gameplay if I just played rather then modded.

Not that modding isn't challenging, fun and rewarding. But a goblin once said to me "time is money friend"

Was using X-Perl, but just moved to Pit Bull - more work to set up, but much much more customisable.

With Pitbull, are you able to make it so you can see the portrait of everyone in a 10 man raid? I know with x-perl I can only see the portrait/cast bars of my party and the rest of the raid is just small rectangle boxes. Or anyone know of a UI mod that allows this?

SmartBuff - Since I run five different classes this mod is great for me.
X-Perl - I always used a mod for unit frames....don't even remember what the default one is like.
Bartender - Must have a lot of hotkeys!!
Questhelper/Carbonite - whichever is working at the time - only while I level I use these of course.
Questannouncer - not sure if this is a standalone mod or not, but I find it useful.
Multiboxer/Jamba - must have for multiboxing
Healbot - since I don't have my macros for healing set up yet I use this to heal, which isn't that often since I haven't done much besides quest levelling.
Autobar is pretty cool but not as useful for multiboxing.
I also really like ArkInventory and FuBar.

Most of my current mods are to help while I level up. I will modify them once I get into doing instances. When I get to this point BigWigs and LittleWigs helps me too since I don't remember (or ever knew) many of the boss fights.

Addons, macro's, scripts to automatically synch my addon's and macro's. I love it all. After 3.0.2 came out it was a full week before I actually played the game. Spent all my wow time (pretty substantial) playing with add-ons and writting a script to copy all my settings accross all my characters. That reminds me, I need to change it to add in my second and third team and my 2 mains.
