So recently I have been toying with the option of doing a round robin with my 5 shamans in lue of having the 5th slot taken up with my pally. The problem is, I think I am doing it wrong.

My setup: Currently I run the shamans on one pc and the Pally on the other. However it feels slow to me. I set the shamans up, then go pull with the pally. I then put my hand on the other keyboard to get the shamans to start blasting away. This just feels "off" to me. Is there a better way to do this? The reason why I have opted to bring in the pally tank, is I have been looking at the Wotlk raids and I dont think I can pull them off 5 shaman style with 4/5 S2. Unless anyone else thinks that this is possible.

Are you using some type of keyboard emulator on the PC's like keyclone or synergy? These programs make using multiple comp's much easier. That would be my first suggestion.

I do have keyclone on both pcs but I only use it on one for the shamans....should I use it for both?

The whole point of keyclone is to link all of your WoW windows to one keyboard...if you're not using it for that you're really kind of wasting the software.

Touche.

So, I looked up how to have both keyclones talking to each other. Got that working. Now comes the part that I am not liking. I run with 5 shamans. I have my macros like I like them. However, it appears I have to redo them all just to fit the dang pally in. I am both excited and terrified at the same time lol.

It ain't that bad. Now with the latest patch you can be lazy and use only one button for your pally and do pretty well. Something like...

/castsequence Hammer of the Righteous, Consecration, Holy Shield

... should do wonders. Surely you can find one button to free up on the shammies to have nothing on it so it can be your "pally only attack" button.

Alternatively, with only a bit more effort, put your main shammy attack button (lightning bolt, most likely) on the same key as the pally attack button and simply click with your mouse on the pally button the first couple of times you face a new group (so only the pally attacks) if you are worried about agro, then spam the button (which becomes your "everyone attacks" button) to have everyone attack.

If you get really advanced you can use your mouse to click on a seal and judgement on your pally while spamming the "everyone attacks" button, but it's almost never needed.

Thank you kindly for that bit of advice. This is a new "frontier" for me so to speak lol so its kinda zomg wtf stuff. To make matters worse. The instance I am using as my time to learn about how to do this thing is.....MgT lol. Currently as I write this, I have cleared the first boss np, second boss kicked my butt but got him down finally, 3rd boss was one shot and now about to face off with Kael.

Nice. That's a HARD instance to do. My primary team is in Kara+ gear and I couldn't get Kael down w/o adding an outside friend to DPS.

Those movement fights are tough and frustrating. And I'm quite scared of what they are going to throw at us in WotLK - I think most of the boss fights will get much more complex. Some challenge is good. Tear your hair out second boss in Naxx which doesn't allow you to get to any of the other bosses is bad.

Should be fun.

I was able to get kaeld down as a 4 shammy 1 pally team. However for some reason, I am scared to try other instances. I have only done Slave Pens on heroic and the first boss of MgT on heroic. The rest just plain scares me. Dont feel like I am good enough for them I guess.

Well, I read a post from SS2 about becoming outlands hero. I armoried all his toons. I am better geared but apparently less skilled. Well now my hope has been renewed so I am gonna practice this setup till the cows come home or my wife divorces me....which ever comes first.

The secret to heroics is just getting in there and doing them even if you think you're not geared enough for them.
