Threats of Reporting

Hello all,

I just came here, was intrigued, and set up a trial 3-boxing session. There are certainly a ton of bugs to kick out, but I have to say it looks very promising!

One thing I'm concerned about is GM action. I'm sure this has come up repeatedly in the past, but how often (if ever) is action taken, or GM contact made? Searching the boards quickly reveals people get reported often but action is rare to non-existent. I ask because someone told me they reported me just after I hit L2.

Hi Evilereaver!

I don't play WoW, but I do know that the GMs are normally very understanding when it comes to multiboxers.

If one contacts you, you should request that you have your accounts notated stating that you are multiboxing.

It helps to explain your setup to the GM and just chat a bit, try not to get too defensive, and be friendly.

The GM will likely tell you that as long as you are NOT automating actions (scripting the character to "play itself") then your gameplay is just fine.

You will find, as I did in Vanguard, that most players don't understand what you are doing, and therefore think that you should not be allowed to do it.

Just try and be friendly to anyone that seems interested in what you are doing, and if the want more info, send them here, and maybe they will give it a try themselves :D

Note: spamming that they just reported you and generally acting like an a-hole is not interest.

I have been reported on and visited by Gms on several occasions. No action has ever been taken because what we do is not against the TOS.

When people take the time to let me know that they have reported me, I thank them and ask them if there is anything they want me to say to the GM for them. They then realize that I really dont care about being reported and leave me alone, or start asking me questions on how to 5box because they want to do it too :P
