Lost grant able RAF levels to be restored with weekly maintainance!

Hi guys,
We have an update for you on the status of this issue, and I am happy to confirm that players who have been affected by this problem over the past week will have any levels which they had accumulated before patch 3.0.2 reimbursed after our scheduled maintenance on Wednesday morning.
Once again, we do appreciate that this problem was through no fault of your own, and we do apologise for any inconvenience caused to you all. I would also like to commend you for the controlled and constructive manner you have conducted yourselves in this thread, and let you all know that your feedback was most appreciated.

With the WoW 3.0 patch all grant levels earned but not used before the patch could not be granted anymore.
There is an update on this on the EU-forums with the info that this will be remedied after the weekly maintainance.

Sweet! I did the math, and I have a level 6 rogue with ~4 xp from 7 ready to level up to 60.999 (discover hellfire, and ding! lol)

Sadly, I haven't been doing my dailies and won't be able to buy him skills + mount + gear. Well, he is a rogue, so maybe just need to buy the skills + mount, lol.

I am happy they resolved this quickly. I was very afraid to even touch my RAF accounts till they fixed this. Now its time to run from inn keeper to inn keeper handing out candy and getting 13.5k a turn in!

Keep in mind, this is for EU players. On the US forums, they are locking any thread that crosslinks to the EU forums, since nothing has been announced for the US yet.

Although you CAN take from this that you will NOT lose your levels (if they are retrievable for EU players, likely they are also retrievable for US players). But to say it's happening next maintenance is jumping the gun for us US realm folks.

I'm sure they will at least attempt to implement in on the US realms.

Blizzard does not work like the real US. The US ignores other peoples fixes and tries to find it's own.

Blizzard however, if they find a fix for the EU, the US would not be far behind, if not behind at all.

If you have the fix, why not implement it.

Right. I was just saying that all the US players going "*SQUEEEE!* Patchday fix!" might be disappointed.

I have no doubt that it will be fixed, since the fact that EU players are getting it fixed on patchday means it IS fixable. It's just the timing for US realms that hasn't been confirmed.

My biggest concern at this point isn't the level reimbursement, but the server stability. I've lost many more levels to general server lag and irritability than broken RAF.

Update, 10/20 9:00pm PDT: Status changed to "Active. Resolution pending."

We are aware that players have been experiencing issues as of late gifting levels to friends under the refer-a-friend program. To update players, this should be addressed with tomorrow morning’s maintenance. All gifted levels that have not yet been received should automatically apply tomorrow.

My entire final PVE only team, is stuck at 31.9999999 awaiting the chance to isnta-ding to 60.9999999.

What is also soon to become a problem is the lack of account-to-account character transfers, but hopefully the fix for that isn't long off either.

Aha. Looks like the US-CMs were only late to announce that the fix goes in with this week's maintainance.
So it is going to be the US doing the beta testing for the EU again, as usual with the US patchday being Tuesday and EU patchday being Wednesday. =]

I should have done it before the patch, didn't even think it would be an issue. I was able to get the transfer request in 2 days ago at 4am, but since then no emails and I can't get the transfer transactions page to load.

Let me explain: ~.001% exp away from level. Summon friend to where other toons are able to grant levels. Toon discovers new zone! (toon levels without you realizing it) You continue to grant 29 more levels. You are now sad :-(

I guess I'll have a toon at level 60.02 now :-/ If you summon a friend is on C/D, WAIT! Trust me.

Granting from multiple characters to 1. Cooldown for summon is 1 hour, each toon gets it's own summon cooldown. I can't summon 3 different toons to my 1 right away, but I can summon the grantee. well in that case, that's a little different. but i find it very easy to take my level 60+ characters to the city where my lowbie is... very easy. im sure there's other ways around it too. hearth to the same city? undercity and smv is basically linked, like SW and IF. you can also plan it out where another alt on the first account summons the second alt on the referred account to the city you want to get to. no, not rocket science at all. but a bit of a hassle. in any case, running a few guys to the same city is not as hard as say... leveling something to 60.

Tested this last night as well. Granted a level 1.99 warrior to level 60.99 in about 15 seconds or less. Wish I would have frapsed it. I made a macro on 2 of my warlocks to grant level to my warrior, then made 2 macros on my warrior to each click StaticPopup1Button1 and then bound them to the same key as my warlock grants... then I created a separate macro to say "OMG WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME!?"

Then, I stood right in front of the org bank, and spammed my first grant level/accept level macro, periodically pushing the macro for the say, then at 30 I spammed the second macro along with periodically pushing the say macro. Had a HUGE group form around me like "OMG WTF IS GOING ON!?" "HAX!" "CHEATER!" "HOLY SHIT!" etc.

Was awesome, even if it only lasted 15 seconds or so. Then I took a few minutes to explain RAF to everyone lol. It was like story telling time.

I have a level 60 druid that confirms this was fixed. Granted 29 levels from my shaman, 29 levels from my warlock, and only ONE zomghax comment in Org...

What's the command to grant a level? I was planning a similar event in IF.target the receiving character with the donating one, right click and select grant level.

Fixed as of yesterday's maintenance. (Oct 21)

They fixed it on the US realm as well as the EU realms, as it worked fine for me. I know there was some question as to when they were going to implement the fix they found on the EU servers in the US servers, but I guess they just used the same solution. After the patch I was only able to grant 4 levels (level 59lock granting to my brother's account) and yesterday I was able to grant the rest of the levels and jumped his shammy from level 40 to 58.

anyways, how does RAF work? and how is it some of you are standing and just lvling? doesnt make sense...
