ok ive been duel boxing for over a week now have 3 pairs off toons mages locks and sharmans

im still trying to decide wat to do. i dumped the mages at lvl 5, becuase they where getting anouying to play. lock and sharmans just chew threw groups of mobs at the high proice of not very mana efficent (atm anyway.)
i just wnat to know from people who have played locks/sharmans.

A) specs (im going demo/afflic and elemental/elemental(while lvling) elemental/resto at 70/80)
B) can some1 pls post a screen shot of a "easy to use"key binding set up (now i know its all personal preferance with this but, i like to see what other people have in the way of. Where they place key binds, ill screen shot mine at some stage)

I don't think any class is really representative of its overall behavior at level FIVE. That and the play-time to get there is so trivial that I can't think how anyone could form a solid opinion of it that quickly.

With only two avatars, it's often beneficial to pick two different classes. The increased level of difficulty tends to be low unless you do something odd like pick two melee, while it's almost impossible to pick a pairing that doesn't improve the group's overall strength.

A simplified FTL schema would be nice so you can swap which one you have primary control over, more so if you're going ranged/ranged.

I never dual-boxed but i have played my 5 shamans to 70 and priest/4locks locks to 32..

Shamans are better for everything so far most of all because of tremor totem and grounding totem... We also got to face the fact that most meele now will have aoe meele attacks wich doesnt benefit locks very well!

My priest/4 locks will most likley die in WOTLK at 80 and i will drop it for my warlock...

Why?

Teleport is nearly useless since my priest will be left alone...

It's stickied in the General section of the forum, and on the wiki - Focusless, Targetless, Leaderless system. There are a lot of variations. Mostly it's designed to work with keyclone, but I bet you could get clever with the idea behind it, especially with only two characters. The intent is to set up your alts so you can switch primary control between team members seamlessly...with only two, you could probably work out some clever macros or UI setup, maybe /click or something. But how you would need to work it out depends on the details of your setup - which I have no knowledge of.

How are you handling input multiplexing? Or are you just switching windows constantly?

Personaly I would stick to the mage. Slow spell, improved counter spell, sheep, INSANE dmg(now at lvl 67 with normal quest gear, arcane blast is critting for 3K3 without trinkets..) You got less chars ofcourse, but still... It's very versatile.
Btw, portals ? Free food and drinks?(although I never use it due to mana/heal totems) frost nova for mobs that are running off.... list is endless ;)

Good luck.

My first 5box team was pally + 4 sham.

For Wrath I'm dropping 2 shaman in favor of a mage and boomkin. In Wrath Shammy lost some synergy and overall dmg. The mage and boomkin dmg combo is crazy (at 60 currently) and staying power is great if talented right. Also the water, int and stats buff, and portals are greatness. Why not go 3 mage, 1 boomkin? Mainly fear of... well fear. Tremor totems own for dealing with that and with the 2.4 patch reducing proc time 2 is sufficient. Grounding totems are also heavenly and well, need heals anyhow so the 3rd mage would have to be a healer of somesorts. I choose shammy > other healers because of totems and chain heal. Sure all other classes have a group heal of some sort now but chain heal is just so crazy efficient because it picks the targets that need healing to bounce to.

Ah, way to read the OP, go me.

Well with 2 you're going to have to rely on 3 others to fill a group. I'd still recommend going mixed class to facilitate this. It's also nice when a piece of loot drops to not have to decide who to give it to most of the time. Plus the whole synergy argument still applies. I think Shaman + Druid for example is > Shaman + Shaman. Prolly need to read up on what stacks now in 3.0, I'm not 100% on that stuff myself.
