Keep in mind that using that will randomly acquire a target if one is in front of you. Suggestion: add a line just before that, so your macro looks like this:
/stopmacro [noharm]
/petattack

Well i started multiboxing Hunters and what i did was
/assist (Mains Name)
/Petattack
/cast Auto Shot

i use a different targeting system so mine looks like this: /petattack [target=targettarget]
essentialy the same thing and it works just fine. :D thx again

I'm using:
#showtooltip Serpent Sting
/assist [target=party1]
/petattack
/castsequence reset=3/combat ,Serpent Sting
Basically, the first press sends the pets in.
The second keypress casts Serpent Sting, which starts auto attack.
That way, you can have the pet on the way to the target, prior to taking threat yourself.
*EDIT*
The Leader does not have the assist line.
I use a script to put the current leader on Bar 2, with the slaves on Bar 1.
Bar 2 is identical to Bar 1, except the abilities do not assist party1 (which is toon #2 for the leader)

I use this one:
/tar [noexists, nodead, harm]; pettarget
/cast Hunter's Mark
/stopcasting
/cast Mend Pet
/petattack
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe what it does is pickup a target in front of me if I don't have one, or take the pet targets, casts hunter's mark on it, throws a mend pet (helpful when solo and hitting a sequence of targets), and sends the pet in to attack...
