This is something I have been pondering. I 4 box so I have a group that is 3 shammy and 1 boom, but I'm thinking 2 shammy and 2 Boom. (I have a 70 Druid.)

As far as pve goes do you really need more than 8 totems. Someone please correct me if I am missing something here, but I think that saving talent points to add addtional DPS points would outweight the redundance of the third shaman.

For instance I save 3? talent points by only one having to get improved boomkin aura, one shaman has totem of Wrath, and I don't think that the haste will stack from the totem and the aura, so that's one less totem you have to use. One Boomkin will need the improved MOTW. And the big one is the stacking increased spell damage taken 46-50 point talent that I would only use on one guy.

So with a focus on pve and having one of the boomkin tanking, can anyone try to talk me back into the shaman? Thanks.

One thing: You are giving up one extra grounding totem, which I'm finding on my druid group is completely invaluable in pve and pvp. It completely negates caster mobs and allows you to focus stuff down before having to heal. I'm not sure at this point my druid team will be any good in pve, maybe pvp... but then a fear trinket is a must as well (sigh miss tremor totems)

grounding totems are nice, but...

Seems like pve teams have been doing without them for a long, long time.

So we're just talking about grounding totem and a mana totem I'm losing. I'll have to go back to the theorycrafting machine to see if there really is a dps gain. I guess as far as gear Itemization goes it may be slightly easier to gear 2 leather and 2 mail vs 3 mail and 1 leather.

Mana totems stack now...

And "people have been doing without" is a sad, sad reason not to have grounding totem love. People have been doing without a lot of things that I wouldn't want to forgo.

OT: Badash how did you do 1-70 so fast? I have RAF and I'm nowhere near the speed of leveling you listed. Are you taking into account that instances don't increase your /played time?

OT: Badash how did you do 1-70 so fast? I have RAF and I'm nowhere near the speed of leveling you listed. Are you taking into account that instances don't increase your /played time?

Here is how I do it.

Step 1 - Level to 5 in first zone, once you hit 5 leave. Go to the next zone and level to 10. Time for 1-10, 1.5 hours(total time: 1.5 hours)

Step 2- Have your mage ride to the 3 characters and port them to org and run them to RFC. Once there log them out, create a macro on your mage to invite them all. Run all the way down to the end of RFC and back. Throw on autorun, login 3 chars, invite them zone in, collect exp when the mage gets back to the start area. You will hit the reset limit in about 25 mins, port one to TB to get the 2 quests there. Summon a friend him back. Go do a BG, after victory finish the 3 quests, port to TB. Time for 10-16, 45 mins(Total time: 2.25 hours)

Step 3 – Have your 70 on the linked account fly to sepulcher and ride to SFK. Once there summon the other 2 chars. You are going to have to wait an hour for the other summon to be up. Once it is you can have you mage over there and summon the 3rd char. SFK is only 2 pulls. The first one is a small one to open the door. The next one, you run through the courtyard, through all the rooms, over the balcony, through the wolf room, jump down and run back to the balcony. AOE, loot bosses, jump down, zone out and repeat. Once you hit the reset limit, Have that 70 summon one guy to sepulcher, or walk it’s close(2 quests), port one to UC to get the quest. Summon everyone back, go make a sandwich because you are still within the reset limit. Go in complete quests, and repeat aoe pull til 25. Time for 16-25 1.25 hours(Total Time:3.50 hours)

Step 4 – SM, I usually go Lib –Armory from 25 to 32 then Armory->cath from 32-40. I tend to agro too much before 30 in cath. It also helps to have someone that you can have your alts follow for this step. It takes me 3 pulls for lib, 3 pulls for armory, and 4 pulls for cath. I do this because it’s safer and not a lot of chances for death. Time from 25-41, 2.50 hours. Total Time 6 hours.

Step 5 - (41-47) ZF/Tanaris Just do ZF 2-4 times, finish quests then do all the quests in Tanaris. I get to level 47 here.

Step 6- (47-51)JA/Hinterlands 3 hours. in one circuit I went from barely 47 to 48 killing mobs. from turning in the 15 quests I had done I went up to 51.

Step 7 - (51-55)Felwood 3 hours I know a lot of people don't come here but there are some serious chain quests that give ridiculous exp x3

Step 8 - (55-58)WPL 3 hours the cauldron quests are mad exp and if you have access to some core of elements, bone fragments, dark iron scraps when you are done head to EPL for 24Kish per turn in.

Step 9 - (58-60) Hellfire 2 hours the quests and rewards are just too good to do anything else.

Haha, I saw the name once in astronomy class and decided to use it for my first ever WoW character, whom is long gone. Anyways, thanks for the guide baddash! I think I will try it with my locks group. The only problem with boosting that sucks is you leave one account out. So you end up with lots of 4 classes and no full group =(

Well if you regular level a group of 4 to 60, then you have 30 levels to give away. Level your next group to 40 grant 3 of them up to 60, transfer on and grant him up to 60 then you have 8 60s and you saved yourself 15 hours or more.

I currently have one group of 3 locks to 60 (36 hours)

who granted my second group pally priest priest to 60 after they were 41(6 hours)(19 levels from locks)

I have 3 mages that will be 60 this weekend(30 hours)

Who will then grant my 3 shaman who will be 41(6 hours)(19 levels from locks)

Then I have a shaman, shaman druid group that I am leveling to 40(6 hours) that I can grant to 60( 10 levels from locks 10 from mages)

so that's 3 days 12 hours to get 15 60s.

BTW, I have a serious problem.

Necro bump, just wanted to say that this worked fantastically for me. Add in the seasonal inn buckets and I'm well on my way to fastest time to 60 for me ever. Thanks.
