A little bit of Shaman help

I looked around and just couldnt find what I needed so i figured i would pop in here. I feel that while playing my 5 shamans is awesome I somewhat feel like im wasting mana on over healing is there any way possible to correct this problem? I mean one-two Healing waves is basically like a Complete Heal right now so when my other 3 characters do it I kinda feel like meh that was basically useless. Any tips or tricks or macros I should know about?

I think we need a little more info - are you level 70 doing heroics, or is this just instances while leveling or questing or what?

Basically I have a 5x LB macro that I use (the '2' key) - then, when I think my main (or the guy the mob is targetting) needs healing, I switch to my OTHER macro (shift+4) which has my first 3 shamans casting LB, and my last 2 casting lesser healing wave on the mob's target.

This works well in a lot of cases, as I can then switch back to regular LB spam when the guy is healed.

Sorry ya here is some more info. This is basically just leveling up right now as I am only level 19. your set up sounds about right just gotta figure out how I would impliment that. as most my attack spells are set as /assist my main so as far as splittiing it up im not all that sure

First thing I would do is stop using /assist. You need this for other things later, especially once shamans get hex.

What I use is a focus on my main, and then I use target=focustarget for all spells. So when I first group my guys up I hit the G key which makes all my clones /focus on my main, then the spells would look like:

/cast [target=focustarget,harm][] Lightning Bolt <--- This macro would go on all 5 shamans as say the number '2' key. It would also go on the first 3 shamans as shift+4 - so yes you're using the macro for 2 different keys.

On the last 2 shamans you'd use this macro ONLY for shift+4:

/cast [target=focustargettarget,help][target=targettarget,help] Lesser Healing Wave

Then, when you hit the '2' key all 5 shamans will cast lightning bolt at your main's target.

if you hit shift+4 instead, then 3 of your shamans will cast lightning bolt, the other two will cast lesser healing wave, then when your guy is all healed you can just switch back to hitting 2 again :)
