Hey everyone, this is my first post here. I lurked in the forums for the past few days and got enough information for myself to set up keyclone and get a few macros going. Right now I'm 'driving' my paladin, with my mage on autofollow. I have the mage cast fire blast whenever I use my pally's judgements, and I also have do-nothing buttons on my pally's hotbar that correspond to mage casting its spells (fireball, poly, frost nova, arcane explosion). I know this may not be the most efficient way to do it, but I'm new to this so that's how I'm running it. I'm using the refer-a-friend bonus and loving it.

Anyways, my question is, if anybody has run a setup similar to this, is there a point where I should spec my paladin over to prot and do AOE grinding with this? So far all I've done is single target and it's working out quite well .. things die within 5 seconds or so. I know that a mage has a lot of AOE firepower though, and a paladin can be an AOE tank (eventually). Any suggestions?

Also, on a side note, I've read about possibly cloning my mouse clicks. I would much prefer this to cloning the keystrokes because I'm a mouse-user usually. I read somethign about a program called octopus, but links that I Found were either dead, or mentioned that octopus was no longer supported and may not work very well now. Any advice? Specifically I'd just want to clone my mouse clicks that are targeted on my hotbar and nothing else.

Thank you all. You guys have a great community here, by the way, and a lot of useful information floating around that helped me get started!

In my opinion, and based on only the past couple days of experience, the new version of Blessing of Sanctuary makes a prot pally into a multi-mob grinding machine (it solves all your mana problems - previously, you'd run out of mana halfway through a fight, now I never have to drink). As soon as you get high enough in the prot tree to grab this, I'd give it a shot. I've only done so at 70, but even solo my pally is just chewing up large groups. I haven't done much multiboxing with the new patch yet, but my understanding is that threat generation is easier, so adding some AoEs from the mage should be safe and make things even easier.

Regarding mouse clicks, the general consensus on these forums (and my personal opinion) is that you'll be a far, far better player after you get used to relying on keybinds for your casting. In busy moments, I find myself rapidly mashing keys with my left hand while using the mouse to rapidly target and click an occasional Cleanse from my pally. Even if you get set up to broadcast mouse-clicks, you're gimping yourself in the long run.

I'm currently running 1pally and 4mages. I ran the pally prot until I could get Holy Shock then I respeced to Holy for the shock now I don't have to worry about the fire mage(s) gaining aggro because the pally is on every mobs #1 hate list, I've speced out all the shock boosting talents for the pally and moved most other talents now to Ret to add in the spellpower and crit boost for the mages
