Does haunt work if you kill the person before the haunt ends?

The tooltip for the talent isn't very specific about this...I'm tempted to take haunt on all 4 of my locks but it doesn't specify if the target dies before the 12s is up, to my locks still get healed?

Haunt currently returns the healing to you when the debuff runs out or the mob dies. If Haunt is the killing blow, it will still return the heal. In the next change, with CD reduced from 10 to 8 seconds, you can overwrite the haunt debuff and it will heal you when it overwrites the last one. It is definitely worth it for Affliction for longer fights or for a quick heal.
