Heys every1 as you may have guessed im writing a warcraft song, after being inspired by druid boyz!

I just have a few problems, I dont have any good recording software, actually i have none :( what im after is something that can record decent quality, and i'd like to be able to put on multiple 'layers' of sounds if thats possible but im not sure if such a thing exists lol i dont mind paying for a program thats gonna be good ofcourse! If you have any experience or have tried programs that are good for song recording then i'd love to hear back from you, thanks!

Ps, my first song is gonna be about pvp and ofcourse im on the horde team XD

and i have a few plans on making a song about multiboxing after ^_^

THANKS!

For sampling and sample recording I use Ableton Live. The program comes with a nice suite of software and addons to help make beats, extra sounds etc. It is multithreaded so it can take full advantage of your multi-core system (if you have one). You can record multiple inputs at once and layering is really easy. The interface is not conventional (most multitracking software has everything laid out top to bottom) so if you're used to that at all it can take a small amount of time to get used to it. There are plenty of tutorials on youtube however which help immensely in figuring out what everything does. It does come with a decent price tag but as with most software, the more you use the more you get out of it.
