I searched through the forums but really couldn't come up with anything. I've never tried multiboxing, but the ability to take most people from 100% health to 60% (or less) in two shots (JoR and Holy Shock), makes me think it'd be fun to try.
Though I'm not sure how it'd work with this 3.0.2 patch either. I haven't played in about 5 months (overseas), so any feedback/opinions would be great.

I played a shockdin pretty extensively @ 80 on Beta for about a month - they do nice damage and have good survival skills, however - you're really still dependant on getting into melee range to be useful with them. JoV does a lot more damage than JoR (and is available to all races now). Personally I would probably advise against it as 5 melee tend to be more of a pain than they're worth. Currently, I'm leveling a prot pali and 4 elemental shaman (or 3 elemental + 1 resto depending on the situation). I plan on converting the pali to a shockadin @ 80 and doing arenas with this setup, HoJ/Rep/JoJ should be nice keeping people in nuke range, 'hand' of protection (formerly BOP), quick heals, nice mana battery FX - should synergize well. We'll see how it works, though.
From what I saw on Beta - @ 80 - in the blue arena gear. Holy shock does between 2 and 5K crit. JoV with 5 stacks hits from 1.5 to 3K crit. Most toons I ran into had ~20K hp. Lvl 80 shamans in blue arena gear do considerably more damage - although it's not instant. Flame shock+Lava burst crits for upwards of 6K. LB/CL can crit for 5K as well. Throw in a nice 3-4K crit thunderstorm and fire nova, it's gonna be basically impossible to outheal the damage they can dish out. 5 palis wouldn't have any kind of offensive dispell so shields, ice barrier, spell reflects, etc would kind of blow. Shaman can take out all of that + grounding totems in a fraction of a second with multiple purges.

Hmm, being kited wasn't a major issue for me back when I was playing, melee does it's share of damage, but you can get buy without it if need be as a Shockadin. As for the shaman purging left and right...I figured that's some of their popularity, but the thing about being a paladin is bubble obviously...and if you put points into Pursuit of Justice you get 15% passive run speed increase, so you can catch up to people as they run around corners.
I read the judgments/seals system got changed drastically, there's now three different judgments and they trigger the GCD now...so the Holy Shock/JoR combo doesn't seem so great anymore. As for SoV/JoV...it's base damage on the judgment was really powerful, but I remember it not stacking up as well once I got my Shockadin in S2/S3 gear when compared to JoR. I heard they nerfed the damage of all judgment coefficients though, so maybe JoV is the better one to use now? I guess I could live with that as long as they hold their promise of making every weapon swing apply a SoV stack. The proc rate was terrible last time I checked.
Thanks for the heads up though. I guess I'll stay a single boxer for now, and see how Shockadins hold up in Wrath.
