My pally tank in all terrible blues (terrible because they weren't designed for a pally tank) now holds aggro over my epic mage easily. I used to wait 20 seconds to do DPS on some bosses, now I'm holding aggro over everyone without even waiting. With the extra AOE weapon damage swings, seals which stay up for 2 min even after judging, instant cast shield and hammer of wrath, it's insane. I think my spell damage has doubled, and somehow my avenger's shield is critting for nearly 2k.

Yeah, my spell damage tripled. We ran Heroic SP and I got MC'd and I took down our Shaman, Mage and Priest :P

Not only is salv now "baked in", but Blizzard has mentioned that they intend for tanks to do more threat.
All in all great changes for us -- particularly if your tank is undergeared due to lack of pvp-reward options for tanks.

novel thing about pali now with the change is that as prot spec yeh can actually can kill stuff fairly quickly.
Was just running with one char to get used to the changes and wow pali got buffed :P

On a sidenote - does anyone have a good sequence for paladin tanks? :)

My pally out damaged my crew in H MT last night though he still lost aggro every now and then. Mind you he did not lead in DPS, I'm still trying to synergize my group with the changes and I was running with no addons other than recount which was not updated. I think the end numbers for recount were correct though it was categorizing stuff wierdly.
Although my pally did not lead in dps, his numbers were signficantly higher in that department as well whereas my shaman were only slightly higher.

I'm using a 62 prot pally to boost a RAF team and Avenger's Shield has gone from doing 3-400 against lvl 40 mobs to doing 700 or so and critting for 1500+
Thumbs up to Blizzard, I was really tired of those 5 shaman OP teams.
I LOVE how things have been working out. Right now, I'm sticking with Judgement of Wisdom generally, so my mana is staying at about 90%+ every pull in instances. As for the attack rotation for a tankadin, it's a 969 rotation now. At 80, it looks like this:
Holy Shield Hammer of the Righteous Judgement Shield of Righteousness Consecration Hammer of the Righteous etc.At 70 it's basically the same, the only difference is that we don't have Shield of Righteousness at 70, so that leaves time for something else like an Exorcism or better yet Hammer of Wrath once the target's health falls low enough. Source for the attack rotation info http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f64/40539-paladinning-patch-day.html
I've been AE grinding the dudes on top of BT, and it's freakin nuts. I set Consecrate and Thunderstorm up on the same key. So I pull several packs at once (most I've killed simultaneously has been around 20 +the elite guy) You don't really have to "build" aggro with the Pali right now, just unload all of your abilities and make sure you have Mana Spring Totems up. Following the rotation listed above I've got ample aggro on the target and I'm able to knock the guys back and do a HUGE chunk of damage to them all at the same time ... not to mention the mana boost. I might make a video of this later today to show everyone what I mean, it's pretty fun. And sickening to watch, I left there yesterday with about 500 or so Sunfury signets and quite a few Tomes.
