I by no way claim to have made a new setup, but i know for sure i havent read through all these forums. After the patch i lost all my stuff so i decided to start fresh with everything from the ground up. Now ive always wanted to try the leaderless focusless setup but have not had the time. Whereas the way i have been boxing in the last month or so has been such a hackjob, im not sure if everyone has their setup like this already and im just catching up or.
Before patch 3.0 I was using A mixture of Vyndree's macro's and Ken's Shaman Guide as a basis for boxing. Basically my paladin was the main and i had a macro where everyone focusd him and followed. Now that made it so when he died i was basically screwed and had to wait for everyone to die. Today when i was rewriting macros i thought if a new way to do things.
After updated all mods for the patch, i got bartender 4 and had to figure that out for a bit. Now to my new to me setup (prolly not new to anyone else and im wasting all of your time).
I run 4 shaman 1 paladin and they are all at 64. What i did was on my toon 2 i made macros for numpad 1-5. Each macro set focus to a character depending on my PIP buttons on numpad. So numpad 1 will switch to PIP 1 and focus toon 1 then stop casting. When i hit 3,4,5 similar results different chars. For numpad 2, since i was on toon 2 i made a macro to focus himself, so i did not have to rewrite cast macros. After i made a /asisst focus /follow macro and i was done. Then I made sure all my PiP's were assigned correctly. So far i have ran outside of shat and killed 2 things with 2 different leaders. I hope this works!
Now ive tested it all out and so far so good with 2 of my shamans. I just wanted to throw this up on the forums and get some feedback. Anyone have problems running a setup like this? Because now i can die on my paladin say and press numpad 2, all toons will focus toon 2 and then PIP will change to 2 enabling him to be the leader /focus. I hope this works out because im pretty confident in it so far. This will make AV alot more interesting >_<
