View Full Version : Really confused, and it's a really basic question.

I've been multiboxing my shamans (and now, my mages as well) for a while now. 65 levels without the RAF system, started a few months ago. I've gone this whole time running the 5 shamans on one computer - however, in order to spare my main rig the beating of processing 5 copies of wow's visual effects (even with everything turned low), I'm looking into the possability of splitting off two or three of the instances of WoW onto a second computer.

I have a second, fully functional PC sitting next to me. My main rig is a double-monitor setup, the alt (sitting just to my left) is a single-monitor setup. Both are running windows XP.

I've gone looking for a while now, but I just can't seem to figure it out. IT's likely something very obvious and basic that I looked over quickly and/or skipped when I originally set up Keyclone, since I was only running one system.

If I am to split up my instances of WoW between two computers, I can assume I need two things: A copy of keyclone for each system, and a method of broadcasting to both systems simultaneously from one keyboard. However, while I can grasp the first part well enough (understanding what keyclone does isn't rocket science) my lack of familiarity with KVM switches and so forth leaves me still grasping for a few answers.

I've seen KVM switches and I've seen software KVMs, such as octopus and kavoom - but I think I'm failing to figure out the very basic facts of what they are and how they work. I don't know if one keypress will be simultaneously broadcast to both of my systems with any of these setups. I think I may have read something around here somewhere that hinted that Keyclone can be networked across computers? I'm honestly just really confused at this point, unsure of what it is I'm looking at doing or needing to do.

Hi m8.

I have a hard time understanding your long long question, but guess what u wanna know is how to make 1 keyboard controle wows over two computers?

How to:

1. Open your keyclone on both computers.

2. Open setup on the keyclones.

3. Tick the "auto connect" field, and write the local ip adress of the other computer (fx. 192.168.1.2:1320). You can find the ip:port on the top bar of keyclone.

4. Evntually reopen keyclone.

5. The keyclones should now connect to each other and send keystrokes to eachother.

6. PAWN!
