I stole the idea from wow class forums and theese treads have helped me managed new classes alot better so why not try one with mutliboxing? Just keep it clean and short :)
1. Use the terrain and hide behinde trees/small hills etc, as a multiboxer i tend to get zerged ALOT and by using trees i can kill 4-5 enemies before they even know im there.

3. make sure to set your maxfpsbk and maxfps to reduce system load
4. reduce your details ( http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Macro:Graphics_Settings ) to save cpu/gpu
5. make sure you have enough system memory. rule of thumb: OS + nWoWs * 500M (OS xp == ~500M, vista == ~750M)

6. Make a macro "/say www.dual-boxing.com" for all the people that go "HACK! BOT! I WANT THAT MACRO! REPORTED!"
7. Start with a caster group before going to melee so you can learn the basics
8. Spend time refining your macros, and making sure you have all toons doing what they are supposed to.
9. Make copies of your WTF folders and keep them safe. (no longer an issue with the patch)
10. Make healing macros for your main, and the rest of the toons, make sure to keep them in order so you dont get confused (ex F1, F2, F3, etc.)
11. Do not reinstall your operating system if you using keyclone = another 20 bucks :) (incorrect: request transfer to new system-id to resolve http://solidice.com/images/Ninjafade.gif)
12. Successful Fear = death or wipe of a multiboxer in PVP or PVE (granted the pvper need to know what he is doing)
13. Make a position button (when you press ` for example, one toon has that button mapped to move left, the second to move right, the third to move back, and one to move forward)

What does maxfpsbk do?
Sounds like max fps for wow when not the focus in windows.

15. Ensure your team can switch leaders when needed and still operate.
* Nothing is more embarrassing than being in an argument with a player that is convinced you are cheating by boxing than to have your main die, never setting up the leader switch key because you could never possibly die in Silverpine, and your team croak to one Dalaran Mage. All the while the idiot who thought you were a cheater points and laughs. *

16. Set up formations and /dance macros. I've had people just randomly give me gold and gear when i'm standing in org in a formation /dancing

17: Make sure your capable of broadcasting all keys when you need to.
It means that when running characters, you can make macros easily and quickly by typing them out at the same time, then tweaking anything you need to change indidually.

1: Read the fucking wiki.
2: Oh it's not there? Okay, well, it's on the forums, do a search.

20. Be nice to players that don't understand and they might be nice to you.
21. Don't be afraid to try new techniques, you might come up with something spectacular (Points at Focusless, Targetless, Leaderless system)
22. Give feedback to mod developers so they can make their mods work great (Salutes Jafula for Jamba)

23. be patient. Questing, leveling, and setting things up takes time; otherwise you'll spend alot of time running back for your corpses.

24. Spend time to make all of your macros work whether you are multiboxing or not (e.g. instead of /cast [target=focustarget] spell, use /cast [target=focustarget, harm][] Spell). You never know when you will want to play the character without multiboxing, or when that character will be the leader and will need to be able to cast spells without a focustarget
25. Do a search on the forum for "latency trick" to set your TCPNoDelay and TcpAckFrequency - this will drop your ping by at least 50% and make it so epic mounts with crusader aura will not break your follow
26. If you plan on PvPing think about how you will manage things like fearbombs when you're creating your team - if you can't manage a fearbomb, then you probably can't really pvp well with your group comp. (ie: 5x undead helps a lot, or 5x shamans with tremor totems, 5x priest with fear ward on themselves, etc).
27. Don't minimize your clone WoW windows. It does NOT speed up your system at all, and it makes switching to that clone take forever. It also causes other random issues. The alternative to this is just making all your clone windows sit "behind" the main one, so it doesn't render them. This is just as fast as having them minimized and switching to them is insanely faster. Maximizer can handle this for you automatically.
28. Buy keyclone - seriously - you're spending $30-$75+/mo on a game, another one time $20 fee is totally worth it, especially considering the program has more features than anything else, way less setup time, saves you countless hours during play, and is VERY well supported here on the forums both by users and keyclone himself. $20 is trivial to pay to save that much time/hassle.
29. Until you're max level, spec everything for DPS - really, you don't need to spec anything as prot or resto or holy or anything else - everything will go faster if you just spec to do as much damage as quickly as possible - questing, instances, etc.
30. Help everyone you pass by on your own faction unless they're extremely rude to you. The more people you help as you're leveling, the more people that will defend you and talk about how cool you are when other people are rude to you.

Still new here but this helped me with making macros..
31. Create a text dump file that is shared across your network. Then dump your macro text into that and save. Open the text dump file on your other computers, copy and paste your new macro(s). Saved me some time.

32. If you want to do gathering professions, use your main toon for them.
33. Take time peroidically to make sure you don't have un-needed quest items or things you need to sell on your clones because they add up fast.
