Random Targets

Not very often, but often enough to mention...

One of my toons will cast their Lightning Bolt at a target that my current main is not targeting.

I'm using:

#showtooltip Lightning Bolt
/assist [target=party1]
/cast Lightning Bolt

For the most part the slaves will always cast at the master's target. Does not matter which toon the master is, as long as that toon is the party leader.
Occasionally, they will pick a nearby target other then the master's and attack that one instead.

Yesterday in Zul'Farrak, I was nuking a troll and one of the alts (with identical macro's to the other three who were on target) decided to nuke a scarab instead.

Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a fix for it?

I've had this happen a couple times, sometimes with all of my characters. I use the /target focus /assist /cast <whatever> method.

It seems to be an issue when switching targets quickly, what I've done is add a stopcasting button, and if I think they're not targeting the right thing, I start casting, hit that, then resume casting.

I like to mark my targets with Raid Icons. With Target of Party a quick glance will tell me if someone is not targetting the same MOB. I have not had much of a problem with miss-targetting though.

it's caused from the 1 second delay the game gives if you ever look at another screen you can be moving at the EXACT same time but on both screens they are both ahead of each other by 1 second.. it's same for targeting when you target right away to the other chars it hasn't even happened yet untill 1 second passes so if you can get a timer or just get used to giving it a sec it'll be fine.. most people don't notice this problem because it takes a sec for all the followers to stop following :)

Well... for PvE, it's no big deal to target a new mob and wait a second or so, before casting.

Is there a workaround for PvP? I'd imagine if you're switching targets in arena, you'd like to burn the new target rather then waiting a second or so..
