View Full Version : Key clone is flipping my screens
I am using keyclone and maximizer to set up two accounts on one monitor Top and bottom. When I click on the account using space 2 then move my mouse off the screen it moves #2 to the top. If I click on #1 now on the bottom and move the mouse off screen nothing happens. But if I click on #1 again while it is on top, it flips them back. So.... If I click on the #2 location then move to a different screen it flips the two. This makes it hard when trying to move around quickly. The only work around I have found is to open keyclone, launch my wow's then open up the setup window. If I do that the screens do not flip. But of course I can not use that computer to broadcast keys anymore. only receive.
This exact same thing happens on both of my wing computers. Both running two accounts on a 1200x1920 monitor. Octopus for K/M and keyclone. Anythoughts?
wow, did I stump everyone or did this get missed because of the copious amount of posts?

Definitely stumped. The problem is I don't think anyone understands what you're talking about.
"when I click on the account using space 2".... WHAT?
the top square is region0, the bottom square is region 1.
Account0 is set to be on region0
Account1 is set to be on region1
If my last focused account was account1m once my mouse leaves that computer (via octopus) account1 flips to the other region.
So, account1 is on region one. I lick on account one, move, turn, dance, what ever, Then move my mouse over to a different computer and account1 moves to region0 while account0 moves to region1.
If account1 is on region0 (do to the previous flip) and I click on it then move my mouse off the monitor it flips back to region1.
The only way to keep this from happening is to have the settings window open on keyclone.
Is that more understandable?

Why are you using both Octopus and Keyclone?
I have 3 computers. Octopus is being used only as a km. The screen shot you see there is how my far left and far right computers are set up. the center computer is a single wow running landscape view on the monitor.
Everything on octopus is disabled except the KM. So until KeyClone get's a KM function (he said it is on the list but towards the bottom) I need to use Octopus.

Any thoughts from key clone him self? This issue really makes it tough to recover if my main goes down as neither other screen is capable of broadcasting

sounds like you have toggled mouse-click-passing on.
exit keyclone and restart (starting from scratch)
go directly to keyclone/setup/general... find the mouse-click-passing field and hit 'clear'
let me know if that helps.

ps: questions posted in the forums are much less likely to be seen on busy days. PMs or emails are much easier
That unfortunately did not resolve the issue. It was not set, (None of the mouse options on the general tan were set) I still hit clear, then started the clients and it was flipping the screens again.

do you have vent? if so, drop me a PM and we'll coordinate a time & server to chat (or you could just call me)

I think I had the same problem, just ran into it today.
I have a 2x2 grid (4 screens) on 1 monitor. Randomly, not sure what causes it, two of the screens will swap spaces. So instead of Top:1,2 Bottom:3,4, it'll be Top:3,2 Bottom 1,4 (1 and 3 swapped spaces.)

It must be tied to Octopus. I use Octopus for KVM, and KeyClone for broadcasting on 1 machine. I run my main on one computer, and my 4 followers with keyclone on the second. If I click a window on the second, then move the mouse to my main, the focused window gets swapped into position 1 (top-left). If I focus on a new window and move the mouse, that one gets swapped.

It also only happens when using maximizer through KeyClone. If I manually set up maximizer and launch the clients that way it doesn't happen.
I will be in the irc room from 3:00 pm CST to 10:00 pm CST most days. I can be found there.
I deleted (after a LOT of work) ICQ because it really..... yea. lets just say a lot of expletives later.
