So in 2.3 they're changing many outdoor mobs from elite to non-elite. I know many of us have pally's and as such, the Tyr's Hand portion of the epic mount quest should be much easier I'm sure..../cheer. I'm getting to the point of starting this quest chain :D .

Hopefully this stays as a good runecloth farming spot too.

Note that the only said they were changing the elite mobs in outdoor portions of instances (i.e.: the dorfs in the non-instanced entrances to Uldaman), not globally. There is no instance in Tyr's Hand, so I can't see them being changed.

They also mentioned the Ogres in STV. No instances there (can't really count ZG a part of them). It'll at least make those quest chains a bit easier.

Oops, forgot about those. :P

[edit] OK, got to looking. These are all teh changes I could find regarding elite mobs:

- Many NPCs in Stormpike and Frostwolf holds are no longer elite
- Elite mobs outside of pre-Burning Crusade dungeons have been changed
to non-elite.
- Many elite creatures and quests in the level 1-60 experience have
been changed to accommodate solo play.
- Saltscale Murlocs are no longer elite
- Mosh'ogg Ogres are no longer elite

Might be more but that's all I see in the live PTR patch notes.

Played through SM with my hunter on PTR and noted that even some elites in instances are no longer elite. Though I have read on IIRC the EU PTR forums that some of the EPL/WPL elite mobs are still elite, never checked as I hate those zones. :)

Checked this out today....none of mobs getting to the instance entrances are elite. =)

I really think Blizzard supports alts (twinking in BGs, new leveling changes, etc.). It's just another device to keep you playing :)

Are you bored? Level an alt! 10x as easy now!!!
