I'm going to try multi-boxing here until Perfect World (english) is released. The game looks appelaing between EQ1 and WoW. It has a quest system that allievates the grind.
PvP at endgame seems to be the appeal. Downside for me (it took a lot of tweaking of default settings to get it perfect on my machines), movement speed (you run slow), so I will buy premium mounts $5 a month. Probably use a Marksman (offense Archer) with a Conjurer as a heal bytch. Once I get it all worked out (probably keyclone), I'll post a multiboxing review. I have WoW but my wife is hogging her 2nd account :), so I'm trying the F2P games for now.

--------- Day 1
Got the Archer account up and running. Found helpful tech advice on their forums on how to setup video, and the way the game downloads files. Played til level 7 (an hour).. realized there is no loot function (once the mob dies gold and items auto into your bags). Your inventory is huge compared to WoW, but haven't found a "bank", may need a mule character. Gold seems to come quick bought myself a full suit of vendor gear at level 6. Spell training is similar to WoW, buy new spells at certain levels from Trainers.

Was attempting to find more information on this game, but the site was overall pretty bland, and forums non existent.

Is there more than 1 race to choose from, models seemed somewhat meh.

In my first post: 3realms, with 3 races each. 3 classes with 2 subclasses at level 10 (6classes). Has about 200 spells per class. Free respecs at anytime with a command.

Forums are pretty active, I spent all morning reading them. (english and spanish)

Talent tree builder (like Wowhead/Thottbot): http://www.regnumzg.com.ar/index.php?Itemid=44&class=-1&level=1&mode=1&buscar=
(tip when using talent builder max level is 50)

Again the graphics may be average. But from what I have gathered the gameplay is PVE until midgame. At midgame to endgame it's about PvP (openworld noninstanced).

It's a bunch of vids on youtube, but as any game video on is after frapsing, most look poorer than in game graphics. Here are 2 with character customization and 1 of gameplay.

***As stated above, I have WoW, and it is my main game of choice. I'm only trying this for awhile unless I really get into it, until Perfectworld comes out. Why? Most free to play games don't have the features this game does. English, quest system, active forums, character customization, WASD controls, etc. The game reminds me of DaoC, WoW, EQ1 and Shadowbane.. meshed together. About 500 players online the english/spanish server at peak times.

any macro functions allowed / possible in this game? (like follow, assist, ...)

Does anything summon anything else?

Trow, summon as in pets? Hunters can get pets and Conjurers (the healers) have pets, I have read. Haven't gotten any myself.

Beyond, the only macros I have found are none that help boxing. It's funny you brought up the /follow /assist, I was going to read Sam Deathwalkers posts here this morning on how he got around them in Everquest 1. Because I think there aren't macros in this game or Perfectworld (which I plan to get)

Day 2:
Scrubbed the Archer I made on Day 1. Set up my 2nd account. I did it the way you would do WoW 2 copies of the game in different folders. Both in Windowed mode, no music on either ( I left the spell sounds etc in). Game played fine, but I didnt have software setup to handle the multi spells so I alt-tabbed back and forth.

I went with 2 of the "Goat" race. They start in a snowy area. My wife who plays WoW also, looked over at my screen and said where are you (in WoW). I told her it wasn't WoW.... this is how at first glance it can pass for WoW (at a lower setting).

:D

first thing I check when I see a new MMORPG:

- Macros allowed?
- Follow Macro possible?
- Assist Macro possible?

I don't want to alt+tab games - ain't my idea of multiboxing :)

And movement without following ain't that easy because you need to keep the Chars synchron. If one stops for a second you need to correct his position so that you can move on :(

Yup I just digged up some stuff... (on software to use, probably keyclone and a G15 keyboard) I'm probably going to have to log 1 guy in stand him in x-spot. log another guy in stand him in y-spot... (and another if I do 3 and so on).

Then window mode minimize all, and have the WASD pass thru so they all walk together. I'll mess with this on the weekend, when I have time.

I noticed Keyclone (the poster), used to do Shadowbane and as far as I can recall, it was point and click... I'm sure someone has advice for games that don't have /follow.

whats the system reqs for this? And also please keep me updated on the progression of this. I may be interested in joining you for a bit and we can create a huge multibox army lol.

I tried the game out a bit, it was pretty clunky as most of the free to play games seem to be.

The glaring problems I noticed for multi-boxing were the lack of /follow and /assist commands.

actually, in shadowbane there was a group follow command. so you'd join all your clones to a single group, hit follow, and they would all stay in line.

shadowbane also had a /target command... allowing you to target all characters at once. the carebears cried and stray bullet took /target out of the game in an effort to neutralize the army of one. (i could do some artificial vision to sync targets.. but i had other work to do..)

currently, in SB, you can easily target mobs and yourself... which is very useful with a group of 8xdruids and 2xwizzies.

the tactic now is: druids target self and start casting earthquake. wizzy 1 teleports into the enemy stack. earthquake goes off, killing all squishies and 50% of others, 2nd wizzy teleports out.

get 3 or 4 teams like that and your going to decimate an enemy front line pretty quick (oh yea... i miss those 200v200 battles... some seriously crazy stuff)

Saturday morning, like I promised I tried working with the game in a 2 window setup. The lack of macros is making it... no fun. If I continue to play this game it will be solo until they add macro functions (a developer said they may add some in the future). In the meantime i'm looking for a f2p alternative.
