So I was giving this some thought. I could go to northrend and partake in the questing grind/lack of mobs race that is sure to happen. Or, I could quest in zones I STILL havent quested in in Outlands. Or, I could just instance grind the heroics ect till about 71-72ish then hit Northrend.

What do you guys think? What routes will you take in the early days of the expansion to lvl. (Sitting at home because the game is down for maint doesnt count :D)

I am going to hit instances, see if the outlands instances still give good exp and grind exp and early rep, then once i know how the mechanics and rep stuff works go to quests :)

wotlk instances 70-80, the starter wotlk instances have better loot then current heroics and are likely going to be alot easier/faster to clear. Quests are alot of fun, but not when the zone your in has 1k+ people falling asleep at spawns...also TBC outlands crashed alot the first few days while instance servers were nice and stable. IMO, in a month or two when the rush of people questing has died down you can swing back and do all the quests for fun and profit

Also selling enchanting mats from the instances runs will = major $$$ during the first month or two

I will have 25 quests in my log completet for netherstorm the last day before expantion, that will give some 300.000 exp, from there i will then instance all my way to 80, prolly start of whit those outland instances were im not yet exaltet, and then move on to new contet when i hit 73

Definitely instances. I was able to hit up my first 5 man last night (Utgarde Keep) and boy was it difficult. Having done the same instances, even heroics a lot and fully understanding every pull and every boss I was shocked when I would die :) I never did get the last boss as he could AOE one shot all my guys (aoe did ~9500 - 10000 damage) when he went to undead form. Likewise I think the Nexus last boss will be quite difficult, _though_ stacking healing stream (vs mixing healing and mana) may work well.

I'll probably try out Nexus and see how that goes and if it goes well I'll try UK when I hit lvl 71.

Netherstorm/Shadowmoon quest leftovers plus those level 70 instance quests, most probably. I may go hit the level 71 zone with one of my PVE groups to get a feel for the xp rates there. If it's significantly better, I may just suffer through and go start on the 71+ instances.

You can always jump ahead of the solo people on the first day. Most people can't do quests that are red or orange to them. Since you probably don't do collection quests, you're most likely going to be ahead of the game. You can always start of in the "next area", but you will need to go back and do the starting quests to make up for the lost XP. At level 60-62, I could easily kill the mobs that were 64-68. People that solo can not do that. If the quests are available to me in the higher-level areas, I will start there.
