ever since i started wow i ahve had consistently low fps to the point it is almost unplayable. then for christmas i got a new laptop that i consider pretty good...

my laptop is an acer aspire running with windows vista and a nvidia 752mb 7000m, 2gb ddr2 of ram and 2 80gb hard drives now idk if i would be able to multibox which i assume i should be able to run at least two(which is all i want) but even when i am running only 1 wow i am at 10 fps and maybe a latency of 90ish and when i open two it goes down to 4 fps

please help

delete you wtf folder and try again (this will mess up your macros and key bindings, nothing that easily fixed.)

there is a command to set your maxfps do a search for it here on the boards.....

its something like /console setmaxfps 60

or something like that... try that before you uninstall delete

the 7000m is a very.... craptastic video "card".

your 752mb of ram is probably shared with your 2 gigs of main ram.

this card, actually, its basically onboard graphics, is worse than my Geforce 6200 le that i have for my web surfing computer. (on wow, a 6200 le gives me just over 15 fps at 1024x768, in desolace) so you dont have any problems with your laptop actually and i'd totally expect your computer to run WoW at 10fps, normally.

ok so my laptop is good its just my video card that needs upgrading? I am kind of on a frugal budget being in school and everything, but upgrading my video card would resolve this issue. because as you said i think it is an onboard on lol.i am not too computer savvy though. i will look into some video cards but would probably hold that as a last resort. if it helps though i am willing to buy one , also if you could say what would be good in a video card... like what am i looking for would be first time upgrading it besides adding ram

and yes, i think the main limiting factor is your video chip. you have decent amount of RAM and i have no idea about your processor though. even still, your graphics are cripling your play.

If its any hardware its the fact yeh only got 2 gigs of ram and trying to run vista.

Yeh need to look into setting up vista for performance.
