Multiple Setups

I started tri boxing recently 1 account to boost 2 linked RAF accounts, new toons are 42 after 1 day 2hours (I know slower than some of you especially for boosting).

I have setup 4 installs of WoW on different drives 3 for boxing with and 1 for single play, as follows.

c: Main
e: RAF1
f: RAF2

h: Single setup

The problem I am having as that when I log onto H: for single play and setup my spells onto action bars and then log back into boxing setup the spells are the same as single and I have to reset them. I am using Bartender3 if that makes any difference.

Anyone any ideas what I am doing wrong or anyway to stop this happening, I thought that the seperate installs would keep the settings.

It is probably me doing someything stupid, it has been known in the past!

Spell locations in bars is held server side so whenever you change them they are changed not matter where you log in from. I haven't used bartender but maybe you can add an additional bar for your multiboxing setup that you can switch off on your main?

If you're using the default setup or Bartender3, once you make the changes to a character's actionbars, they will be saved when you log him in again- it's all server side. Since it's the same toon, you could possibly load each setup under a different profile in BT3, but I'm not positive, I just know it has that option of profiles available. I think even switching profiles the spells will still be setup and attached to specific slots and bars.

Hence why I said create a bar specifically for multiboxing that you can hide when not multiboxing :)

Did wonder if it was held server side, will try using the profiles in bartender and see if that works and if not will try as Chaoticmonk suggested use different action bars and hope that works.
