Hi all
I am 5 boxing with a priest and 4 locks. I have 5 marcos on each toon to switch between them
/cleartarget
/clearfocus
/target [target=toon1] ---- toon2--toon3--etc
/focus target

I than use another macro for every toon to assist the the toon I switch to
/target focus
/follow
/assist focus
/stopcasting

I have this castsequence macro for my warlock DOT
/petattack
/castsequence reset=target/combat Curse of Agony,Corruption,Life Tap,Drain Life,Shoot

When I attack, 4 of my warlock will cast the first spell, but one will only cast the first spell in the castsequence and then stop.
IF I am fight 2 or 3 mobs. I can switch to the other mob. The same toon and its' pet will just stand there and do nothing while my 3 other toon will reset the spell sequence and start casting spells again.

I also have a different marco to sent the pet in to attack by itself, If I press the button this is bind to, The same toon pet will attack, but he will not cast any spell.

No very sure why this is happening. ?(

silly question but are you pressing the key bound to your macro each time to cast the next spell in the sequence, or are you hoping that by pressing the key once all the spells will be cast?

I push the same button multitimes. 3 of my locks will go thru the complete castsequence, but one will only cast the first spell in the sequence no matter how many times I pull the button.

I would check this line very carefully on the macro on the warlock that isn't casting correctly:

/castsequence reset=target/combat Curse of Agony,Corruption,Life Tap,Drain Life,Shoot

Make sure you don't have a period where the comma should be or a semi-colon or any other syntax error. Better yet, share the clipboard if you can. Not sure which keyboard program you're using and if it supports clipboard sharing or not. I use Octopus and share the clipboard so that I can copy/paste macros between characters to ensure I have the syntax correctly on all of them.

I had similar problems when I had accidentally bound the same keystroke in both my hotbar (infinibar in this case) AND the Blizzard keybinding menu. The keystroke was attempting to do two different things and the result was unpredictable, sometimes the hotbar function worked, sometimes it didn't.

I do not think it is a syntax error, I copy the macro-cache from c:/wow/wtf/account/warlock1/macros-cache.txt between the 4 different warlocks. 3 of them works, but 1 will only cast the first spell.

I'd still tripplecheck the syntax of the macro, doesn't really seem like any other option to me.

Ok, I was a bonehead. I use the ? icon when I make the marco. since the first spell is curse of Agony, I put the curse of agony(rank1) from the spellbook in stead of the marco . Since the locks are all slaves, I have them on a small 800*600 windows on my 2nd screen. I was not checking the screen closely, I was expect the curse of agony icon, i see the curse of agony icon, I keep thinking my marcos were the problem.
Thks for everybodys help on this

/castsequence reset=target/combat Curse of Agony,Corruption,Life Tap,Drain Life,Shoot

needs to be

/castsequence [target=focustarget] reset=target/combat Curse of Agony,Corruption,Life Tap,Drain Life,Shoot

You aren' telling the toons what to hit. Need to use [target=focustarget]

EDIT: corrected spaling mystake

He has an assist macro that he hits before the cast sequence.

/castsequence reset=target/combat Curse of Agony, Corruption, Life Tap, Drain Life, Shoot

Try that. :P I think you missed the spaces. They're essential in castsequences as far as I know.

I found this to be more reliable in my own setup but that is just me.

if he's using /assis in hisother macro, then there's no need to target=focustarget. this would kinda mess things up.
whether you use /assist or target=focustarget is your personal choice.

Sweet, I didn't know you could put "shoot" in a castsequence.

Try that. :P I think you missed the spaces. They're essential in castsequences as far as I know.Spaces are irrelevant after a comma. Instead of shoot, I'd use !shoot, that way you don't toggle shoot by pressing the key again (in case of accidental presses)

Oddly enough I just set up my first "shoot" macro today...

/assist focus
/cast !Shoot

Unfortunately, if I hit it twice, it turns shoot back off, not sure why that is.

I was using the /assist for my alts, but it lags if I quickly switch between different targets. So I was trying out the focustarget command. I just do not seem to be able to get it to work,

I make a macro to have my alt cast the shadowbolt on my main's target
/cast [target=focustarget,harm] Shadow Bolt

I have my main focus macro
/cleartarget
/clearfocus
/target [target=toon1]
/focus target

Once I hit this macro, my alts should target toon1 and focus on toon1

I go out to the world and select a target (a spider)

I then hit the macro for my shadow bolt
I will get "you have no target" on my alts

I have look thru the forum and "target=focustarget" should cast the spell on my focus's target.

I am not very sure where I go wrong.
