I got my hunters up to lvl 20, they are so much fun to play. Does anyone have any advice on talents/pets/skills?

I have never played Hunters before, so this is all very exciting for me. Currently I have 5 boars and I basically use two macros in round robin.
1 toon will petattack with charge, and concussive shot,
The other 4 will petattack (no charge) and arcane shot.
Then next time I hit the key, it will round robin so the next toon does macro 1, and the other 4 does macro 2.
It's not working quite as well as I had hoped and I am thinking that I am going to change it up a bit.

I am thinking that my first shots on all 5 toons will be:
1. hunters mark with 1 toon
2. Concussive Shot with 1 Toon
3. Serpent Stings (x 3) with the other 3 toons.

THEN

next button press does:
1. Serpent Sting on toon 1
2. Serpent Sting on toon 2
3. Arcane Shot (x 3) with other 3 toons.
then let autoshot and my pets finish em off.

I originally had 5 different macros with a cast sequence like so:
/castsequence Concussive Shot, Serpent Sting, Serpent Sting, Serpent Sting, Serpent Sting
/castsequence Serpent Sting, Concussive Shot, Serpent Sting, Serpent Sting, Serpent Sting
/castsequence Serpent Sting, Serpent Sting, Concussive Shot, Serpent Sting, Serpent Sting
ect..., 1 on each toon. That actually seemed to kill things much quicker then the one I have now with arcane shot. With the serpent stings I could:
tab, hit 1
tab, hit 1
tab, hit 1, ect.. dot up a whole party of critters, and all those serpent stings, pet attacks and autoshot would take them out in no time.

So, I think I am going to go back to that setup, only add in a hunters mark on the first shot from one of the toons, and maybe some other tweaks. Also, instead of having just 1 boar charge, I will set it up so two charge at a time and round robin them.

I've been playing hunters since alpha of wow over 4 years ago, and lvl'ing them, I never really saw a big need to use all my big shots.
Big shots mean aggro to you, and you don't get MD till late, although you should be getting FD if you don't have it allready.
Personally, I send all my pets in, auto, then throw up SS with all 5 toons.
It's the same prinsciple as locks/sp, and any other caster class that uses dots to kill a mob, focus single target dps. One pet managing aggro, while the other's pick up the extra dps.
Are you using growl on one or all?

Actually, I just found out how to train my pets last night, right before I logged off. I trained them all up, but had to log off for bed. now im off to work so I get to try it tomorrow. I was wondering why my pets had no taunt, but the pet trainer wouldin't teach that, and even after learning stamina and armor, I saw no difference in their stamina or armor. I had to have someone tell me to click the slingshot in my general tab to actually train my pets those skills.

I think I am going to work out a good way of sending a pet to each target that I have preselected (via focus), then, after each pet has established agro, put Serpent Sting X5 on each critter, then autoshot each one down 1 by one until dead.

To night at work I am going to work out the macros so that I can have a diferent key to set focus to my target for each hunter, and also throw on a mark so I can keep them straight. Then with 1 key I will send all pets in at the same time. Seems like if I got good at this, I could thereoatically take out a group of 10 or more by using 5 traps, kill 5 critters, then killing the trapped critters.

Anyway, im off to work before im late. Thanks for the info.

Easiest i have found with 5 hunters:

macro 1:

Hunters mark + all pets attack

macro 2:

serpent sting (all) then autoshot

easymode ftw
