So who doesn't like food buffs? They are relatively cheap they help your dps out. But will this remain the same in Wotlk? It looks like most everything will take Northern Spices. No big deal right. No not quite it looks like you are going to have to do daily cooking quests to get tokens to turn in for these spices. A normal player will have the chance to get ~10 of these a day. I have a feeling that food buffs and/or northern spices might be a hot commodity in wotlk.

I am hoping that someone that is on the ptr can tell me if you can do these dailies with low level cooking. I have a sneaking suspicion that you are going to need higher than level 1 cooking.

There are some pretty cool food buffs that are coming out. I really like the

I have one toon at 375 cooking and ~320 fishing. I think in the next coming weeks I will be trying to level everyone's cooking and get my fishing finished on my main. If anyone hasn't done this grind it really isn't that bad if you pick up fishing along with it. It does take some time but with the change in the spice system it might be worth it.

Yea, I love food buffs, give a nice edge/boost to your stats to help perform better. I only bother with them for raids though.

they also have feasts like that make your group bigger in size or smaller in size.

Valkry- You haven't ran into a fight that you don't need a little extra dps in yet? The 2nd and final boss in heroic mgt I always make sure I have food buffs up. It is just a little more dps that makes sure I get the job done. Also the way that I look at it is that if that extra boost keeps me from wiping then I saved money. ~1g (or 5g for the whole group) for food vs ~3-4g repair (or 15-20g for the group). A

Also even if you don't use them for your team I am sure that these spices will be hot. If you are only allowed 10 food buffs per day if you are trying to learn new content you are going to blast through those easily.

I use food buffs, wizzard oil and potions all the way. Every little bit helps.

I have only just (2 days ago) hit lvl 70 with my shammies so I haven't even bothered running heroics yet. As for any other chars, well, I don't need extra dps because I'm a healer :) But I'm also t6 geared and been in Sunwell so I find H mgt no problemo anyway lol.
