Mage/Hunter

I am looking at dualing a Mage/Hunter combo and need opinions on which should be my "main" and which for my follower. Both seem like valid choices so I came to the experts.

For me, when running the hunter + any non mele, the hunter is going to be main. Trapping, range, and pet control are harder to macro for me than anything a non-mele, non-pet class can do. Other than AE's where you have to select a target area, everything for the mage is easy to control from the main. I assume your basic fight will go something like: Send in pet, start auto shots, and then start the mage nuking.

For leveling, spec the hunter BM so the pet can tank and the hunters shot rotation is simple, and I would go ice on the mage, although any spec will work. Mobs will die fast, with the BM pet you can dps pretty hard, and with traps and poly you should be solid on CC.
