I think I finally have the kinks worked out. Got macros setup, Jamba setup (love it), bought 5 accounts, all RAF linked. I called and spoke with Blizzard customer service and confirmed it was legal to multibox. Upon her suggestion I also sent an e-mail to the GM's to give them a heads up that I would be multiboxing on my server. This was their reply:

Multiboxing is currently not against policy. We do look into these players and take
appropriate actions should there be any indication of Third Party Program usage or any other
violation of policy. For further information on this, feel free to look at http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=5288579356 ('http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=5288579356').
This is a link to our customer support forums with the current policy regarding multiboxing.

I started my 5 Shaman and leveled them to 14 pretty quickly, a fair amount of that time was spent on running around slowly and doing the first two totem quests.

I have had a few interactions with players so far.

One person "You multiboxing?" "Cool"
Another "WTF????????"
Another "How do you do that?"
And then one person told me his Horde guild Warcry, with guild leader Abyssian on Earthen Ring was banned for multi boxing. I looked into it but could find nothing to confirm that.
I will say that the biggest issues for me right now are the following:

There are very few kill quests. Collection quests are far more common and extremely painful to attempt with 5 chars.
Equipment management is very painful, but I expected that
I don't have a good healing system set up yet, so the few times I have really needed to heal the non-leader I didn't. I plan on setting up 5 buttons, linked to Shift-F1..SHift-F5 and each one hand crafted to have 2 healers heal that person, and the other 3 continue damage
Some good things:

I learned that Gift of the Naruu stacks... wow 5 fast healing dots on you every 30 seconds. I never even know it could be cast on someone else
Almost everything I attack dies in one lightning bolt volley and if they are my level or below just one set of instant Earth Shocks. It is fun running to a quest and just insta killing stuff as I go.
The RAF bonus is amazing
I have these three options moving foward:

Boost four using an unlinked 70 Lock and then use gifting to bring the fifth up to 60. BTW, I have accounts A -> B -> C. And D -> E. Is there anyway I can use gifted levels from C->B and B->A so that I can bring a level 20 char on A to 60? Like create a new char on B and have C gift it 30 levels, making 90 levels made on B so I can then gift 40 to A from B?
Use all 5 and do instances to 60
Quest all 5 to 60
Would love some opinions, but the end result needs to be 5 level 60 chars.

If I understand your gifting question correctly - you can only gift to the linked veteran account, you wouldn't be able to gift to a chain linked account beyond the one that referred you. You may be able to gift B->C, then transfer the toon to A and gift B->A though (should work, haven't tried it).

Regarding how to level, I tried a little of each with a 4box team and just settled on questing them to 60. It took me 1 day 10 hours /played, but that was with a lot of running around and trying to get UI etc setup. It can be done much quicker if well planned (or you're already set up). I only took collect quests that were 100% drop rates, and still managed to skip every zone I hate (horde side, did ghostlands->TM->1kn->STV->Tanaris->Hinterlands->WPL->EPL to get 60).

Actually my question regarding linked accounts is this. If A is linked to B and B to C, then if B is leveled to 60 it has 30 levels it can gift. If B leveled another character to 30 then it would have an additional 15 levels it could gift. My question is if that level 30 cvhar on B can be created by gifting those 30 levels from C.

This is my first post :)

So thi is how I ended up doing it.

Main Account (70 Frost Mage) RAF -> AccountA -> AccountB -> AccountC -> AccountD -> AccountE

I place Account A,B,C,D,E as a team up until Level 10.
I then take my Main Account 70 mage, and group up with Account B,C,D,E.
Because my main is not linked with any of those, they all gain the 3x RAF experience.

I boost those four in Deadmines until 15. Then boost in Stockades until 20. Then I boost them in Scarlet Monastary Cathedral until 45 or so.
Each run of those dungeons gives about 1 level. It takes about 12 minutes for me to run Scarlet Monastary Cathedral.

Once they are level 45, I have Account B grant Account A levels to go from Level 10 to Level 45.

From that point I quest Account A,B,C,D,E together as a team.

Once they all hit level 59, I grant any extra levels I have leftover to others.

Works great :)

Ok I understand now what you are asking. This is a scenario desribed in seciton 2 of the wiki page for RAF:

http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/RAF

gain extra referred levels because the referring account gets referral levels while accepting the referred levels

Quest to 60 imo. It is still very very fast, all your chars will have equal gear and more money, your defense rating won't suck as much, you will get much needed practice instead of just twiddling your thumbs, you only have to add new macros every once in a while, instead of a heap all at 60.

Also, make a macro for all your shammies to target self /cast lesser healing wave, nice way to heal everyone to top off party wide dmg.
