Hi everyone,

im fairly new to boxing but after reading through this website im getting more and more excited about it.

Im currently playing two lvl 70 mages, which is fairly easy todo as mages are imo the most easy playable classes in PvE (just spam fireball).

But i want more.

So i decided to go for 5boxing, first im leveling my chars to a somewhat decent level on my 2 accounts and then transfer them to a different account to play them all together, this will also give me some time to figure out how to set everything up.

Anyway im wondering a couple off things:
1) my setup off classes. I am planning on playing in PvE, and therefor i have chosen to play: a Warrior, a priest, a warlock and my 2 mages.
Is this a good combination to play, or do you guys suggest a different class-setup?

2) Macro's and stuff.
While playing my 2 mages i have setup their keybindings exactly the same. but with different classes im wondering how you guys have setup your keybindings.
Do you have individual keybindings for each char?
or do you combine actions off multiple chars with a single keystroke?
For example:
i press "1", my warrior charges in, the warlock casts an instant curse of weakness, and both mages start casting their pyro's
or
i press "1" my warrior charges
i press "2" the warlock casts a curse off weakness
i press "3" the mages start with their pyro's

etc.
I can ofcourse combine multiple actions for a single char in a macro (spellsequence).

Im just wondering how you have setted up your keybindings.

3) Which char to use as main?
I tend to think as follow: My mages dont need much attention, after 2 years off playing wow, i can predict most pve fights from a mage point of view, and make nice spellcycles for them.
For the warlock counts a bit off the same, its a ranged DPS, which only casts different spells, but nothing more extrodinary then the mages.

but i cant decide between the priest and the warrior.
So if anyone can give their oppinion about this it would be a great help.

Anyway, in the coming days im gonna put my pc to the test with a few 10day trial cards to see how much accounts it can handle at once, and to determine if i need 1 or 2 new pcs to do this.

Thanks for reading this, and i hope for some good answers.

I run the same setup except with a paladin instead of a warrior. I was going to do your setup but people here talked me out of out it because warrior is so micro intensive.

I try to group keys into useful groups. For me, I have two nuke buttons.. one is normal nuking (and cast-sequences for the warlock)... and one is for insta-casting nuking.

My priest is separate and my paladin is separate, for the most part.

Something like this: 12345 for paladin, "rftg" for mage, zxcv for priest.

Just about everything, for me, is [target=focus] or [target=focustarget] where focus is my 'leader'.

You have to spend -alot- of timing tweaking and building your own macros, and learning it on your own. No one is gonna give you a setup that you are comfortable with. You just gotta start dong it... think "i could really do this better" and rework it. That process probably won't ever end.

I don't see how you can use a warrior unless it's your main. Macro'ing a priest isn't that hard.

I've been 2 boxing for a while now. My first 2 70s were a Prot Pally and a Priest. I had no problem while leveling, and in fact I would AoE grind quite a bit. Surge of Light and Holy Nova (Rank 1) work GREAT for AoE grinding - and the paladin's Judgement of Crusader on his target maximized the holy damage done, whereas sunders don't help at all. Right now I have a 64 priest and a 64 warrior that I am grinding up to 70, and it really seems about 10 times the work. Last night I was in Zangamarsh (which I am slightly overlevel for) and a "friendly" priest ran past me and AoE feared the naga my warrior was fighting - soon I had the entire camp on my head and there was nothing my warrior or my priest could really do. With a pally, I could simply run away, bubble when needed, and then come back to my group and res. With a warrior you have to make sure your priest (the clothie!) actually survives your battle. With a paladin as your tank you can have your priest healing with their last gasp ... and if the pally makes it, you're golden.
