2.5 GHz P4 (single core) processor or equivalent
1 Gigabyte RAM
A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
At least 15 GB of hard drive space
Those're the minimum specs to run WAR on a machine. I'm trying to price out what it'd cost to set up a hardware solution to box 5 toons since software is gimicky and not really workable while being competitive. I would much prefer to find someplace online that will either give me a bulk discount on 5 identical machines or at least that has a good price on some mid-range machines that'll run WAR without too much lag.
Does anyone know a place that might do this? Does anyone have any tips on what the "real" minimum specs I should be looking for when putting together a 5x hardware boxing solution? Also, I already have two 24" widescreens--Can I play my main on one and then setup a switch to go through the others on the second screen instead of getting one monitor for each? Can said switch also swap mouse and keyboard control so that I have one keyboard/mouse for my main and one for all of the alt machines?
The caveats: I'm kind of OCD about same-ness; I want 5 identical machines and I especially don't want to hobble them all together from random good finds on Cragislist or Ebay (I live in Hawaii in any case, shipping is going to kill me if I buy individual parts).
Thanks in advance for your input--I'm out to sea right now and checking the forums at chow times is my only real joy :) I'd love to get my plans all arranged for when I get back!
