New to this --WOW accounts question

Hi....new to the process--although I've thought a lot about it for quite a while.---although i had no idea software like this wonderful stuff was already available and people were having all this fun:)

I understand that wow allows us to open new accounts of course, but, before I talk to them about opening 2 new accounts, I would like to know if---from people's experience--- they allow you to transfer existing avatars, all from same server, to the new accounts on the same server --even if the server is called a "full" server?

My existing account has TBC and my other computers already have wow/TBC on them, so I am assuming that I will just be buying 2 new licenses only for wow/TBC ...is this correct? Am I able to just pay them without downloading anything?

An account-to-account character transfer is $25, but you can do as many as you want. It takes a few days to complete.

When/if you do make 2 new accounts, be sure to first go into Account Management on worldofwarcraft.com and send yourself an email from the Recruit-a-friend section of Account Management. When you use those codes to set up your new accounts, your main account will get 2 months free service.

Also, you dont have to go out and physically buy a new game, you can install the game on the other computers with your current CD's and "upgrade" the account online for the same price as buying the actual game ($15-20).

I would like to know the answer to this as well.

Any way to change your names if you are moving one character from one account to another on the sane server? Different server is easy, just make a character with the same name there in advanced, then move.

I imagine you can. I had no problem pulling characters from one account (different server) to my 4th and 5th. When you do the transfer, just set the destination server to the same home server, and click the switch-account-as-well option.

I meant pulling an existing character to a new account. Not sure how one would change the name (or if you could).

I was talking about transferring to a full server from the same full server so you can change accounts.

Right, but when you do that.. you are still on the same server. Question is, can you change your name by somehow creating a character with the same name in the mean time?

Sadly Xzin, I do not believe that is possible :(

I have tried to do it in the past and could never find a solution.

I can confirm that it IS possible to transfer characters from one account to another on a full server. I moved three characters on my server when it was listed as full. It's also possible to create new characters on the full realm once you've sucessfully transferred at least one character.
