Is it worth it

Right now I am only boxing 2 toons but am looking at going to 4. Right now with 2 I run about 50ish fps on main and 45 on alt. But my ram sits at about 80% and cpu at around 60% usage. This is what I have for a system.

xps 410

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6600 (2.4GHz,1066FSB) with 4MB cache

2GB DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz

250GB SATA II Hard Drive (7200RPM)

and a 3450 sb edition ati diamond video card

The questions are these one I'm looking at going to 4 g of ram is it worth it to buy 4 at 800mhz or just get 2 more at the 667? Since 800 is as big as I can put in my computer. Also I have a 22in wide screen and looking at adding another 17in monitor not sure if that is going to make a difference or not. Also was woundering if you guys think this system maybe able to handle 4 boxing if I up grade the ram. Thanks for any info you can give me! :D

i had a core 2 duo @ 3.00Ghz overclocked to 3.20Ghz and still was running at 90% of cpu usage. at lower lever thats not that big a deal but when you go AV where masive groups of ppl are you might get a problem with fps.. so i would recomend a quad core prossesor but thats not the a real problem yet (it will be when WOTLK) comes out. then the 2gb ram at 677 is still good but ofc 800 is faster but it will work if you add only 1 gb. i also run 5xwow with only 3gb since i dont have enough money to buy a 64bit OS. it runs perfectly tho. i think it will work with only 3gb but just to be sure 4gb is better the question now is do you want to spend money on 2x 677 or 4x 800 it will work both.

anyway you realy need an upgrade for ram memory. and then you can try a bit out if your prossecor can take it if not try to overclock it carefully. and if that doesnt work you need to get a new one. or try overclocking it more :P

Getting the 4 g isnt a big deal. But a few more questions. One is I run xp is it a up grade to go to vista? What kinda fps were you getting? Also does running 2 monitors going to hinder me at all? And I might need some help on that also lol never ran multi monitors :) I might just stick to running 2 or 3 toons since I hate to put alot into this computer. Only being able to go to 800 ram stinks. Look forward to seeing what you have to say and great info :thumbsup: thanks
