Hello!
Well, I'm pretty new at dual-boxing; I've started about ten days ago and dual-boxing two shadowpriests and am currently 66 (with 3.5 days of /played) and never even checked many of the sites about dual-boxing so I had to figure out most of it by myself (laziness?).
I use Autohotkey and I don't like it much. Control, shift or other modifier keys don't work properly, but I learned to work without since. Also, it's very difficult to communicate with people because when I'm typing in the chat window, most letters are double so I have to suspend AHK when I want to write things. It annoys the hell out of me so I prefer not to communicate with people :p. Okay, maybe I don't use it properly, but still I blame it on AHK.
On the second (slave) shadowpriest, my macros are basically "/assist [master name] /cast [spell name]". The modifiers on the cast-thing make no sense to me, using myself as a focus doesn't work to because I forget every time to set myself as the focus so in the end my way works best since I don't need to do much except group my second character when I start WoW, and nothing else.
I'll look into the quest add-ons but so far it doesn't look good esp. since I dislike the first person view as I like to see what is around my slave character (I put the max camera distance).
My only regret is that I should have done this on a PvE server because I can't even alt-tab for two minutes without being killed by alliance players. :(
About the levelling, I had RaF so it was pretty fine until 60 (1d16 hours to hit 60) I did a lot of quest, though I lvl'd up so fast I couldn't finish any zone completely because quest ended up grey-green and not giving enough xp. Did a few instances (I liked Zul'farrak most; I entered it at lvl 42. When I finished it and validated the quests, I was 47. Completely awesome.)
After that, it became very tiresome. I was astounded at the changes with Burning Crusade (I stopped playing before Burning Crusade came out, so this is all completely new to me). 59-60, 150k xp was needed. 60-61: 550k. And I didn't have the triple experience anymore. Still, quests don't take much time because I use the add-on Cartographer or QuestHelper or something like that; don't have to look at wowhead or other sides to find mobs or places where I have to go.
Oh and I had really lot of trouble buying my spells before I hit 60. I could buy only 1/3 of the spells since I had very very little money. Now at 66, I have about 800 gold, and an alt who had tons of materials, greens, blues, cloths; I will sell it someday when I have time to put it all at the auction house. I still have the 60% mount and have no idea how I'll be able to get the 100% and the flying mount when I hit 70 though with only the gold earned from the quests.
Well, that's about it.
PS: I'm not sure if it's the right forum or is there a "Introduction" forum/subforum that I didn't notice?
PS2: English is obviously not my native language so don't go all grammar-nazi on me.
