I would have to say my favorite all time addon is between Mobmap and WowEcon
Mobmap is a huge database of quests, items, mobs, all mats for every proffession amongst other stuff.

and wow econ is one that is a full database of ah stuff

both are ones I would check out for people looking for such addons.
(though for wow econ it costs like 4$ a month for the full addon but I have found to be worth that for the info it has)

I use many, many addons (oh, how I loathe major patch days!) but these are the essential ones:
Trinity
EngBags (the benefits of both separate bags and all-in-one bags)
Jamba (would hate to multi-box without it)
FuBar (and its addons)
Carbonite (extra useful when levelling for the Nth time!)
Postal (easy mailbox access)
Outfitter

What are your thoughts on PitBull? I love the addon, but the thought of configuring it for all those toons every patch makes me cringe. If I have it setup on a main that I don't multibox, is there a way to copy JUST the pitbull settings from that folder to the slave folder so they will all get those settings? I'm pretty sure if I copy his whole folder it will set them up essentially the same unless the Addon is name specific as some are, but I run a ton of addons on it I wouldn't need on even the main to multibox with.
In order of importance, here are my favorite addons:
- SpamMeNot (ignores spam and auto-reports it)
- QuestHelper (much better than Mobmap imo)
- Jamba (awesome multiboxing addon)
- X-Perl
- Blacklist (people that you put on a blacklist will trigger a warning when you click on them in the game)

Jamba: I could not MB without it
Questhelper: lets me easily see who still needs what and points to the next quest when used with
Tomtom: crazy taxi style arrow and coordinate block
MobMap: nice addon full of info
Pitbull: nice unit frames addon when combined with
Clique: Pitbull + clique together is much better than healbot imo
Auctioneer: everyone has this right?
Engbags: Very configurable awesome sorting bag mod
Automaton: I think I am phasing this out with Jamba growing so nicely, but automates simple things like duel refusals and autorepair
Bartender 3: Button mod, very nice
Modality: With bartender lets you do some neat things with macros
Atlas and all atlas loot: Maps of instances and instance quests and all loot in one handy interface.
Smartbuff: one key smart buffing with all 5 toons sweetness
Gatherer: locate those mining/herbalism nodes
There are many others that sit deactivated on my accounts as they were replaced by these.

Jamba has refusing duel, invites and auto repair in it now. It's awesome, those features replaced 2 addons.
How hard is it to setup Modality? I'm finding as I grind that with spells I want to use, I am copying and pasting and name changing macros 3 times every time I get a new spell that I want everyone to use. It's a pain in the ass making sure that each gets the target=targettarget macro before the /cast. Twice I forgot, and just had the spell in the hotkey, and ended up either casting at a different target than the main or not casting anything. I haven't loaded bartender onto the boxing team, I have been trying to only include addons as I realize they are "must haves" because my main toon has so damn many.

I found that I could set up PitBull on one account, then just copy .../WTF/Account/ACCOUNTNAME/SavedVariables/PitBull.lua to the SavedVariables folder of the other accounts and all the settings seemed to be copied.

I use both Trinity and Bongos3 (Trinity for when I want a more complex UI and Bongos for when I just want to start and go), so those are both high on the list, though I would not really consider them my "Favorite"
I think my Favorite AddOn would be MTLove (Now MTLove 2). It's probably the oldest AddOn I've had, and I only need to update it maybe once a year. It simply shows in a tiny little box who the mouse-over target is targeting. The reason I love it so much is that the first character I leveled to 60 (And then 70), was my Protection Warrior. This AddOn made tanking SO much easier, just swipe my mouse across the targets, and if it doesn't say "Valdenar" on one of them, I find that one and lay the smack down.

- Blacklist (people that you put on a blacklist will trigger a warning when you click on them in the game)
Does anyone know about a good Blacklist/KOS addon that has been updated for WoW3.0 ?
Ordered by usefullness to me
Bindpad
I use xkeys and this is sooo nice because I can match the layout easily.. it's very light weight on slaves over macaroon memory wise and it does not mess with keybindings when I switch a slave to main to play for raids on another pc. My multibox experience improved a lot when I added this and I dumped bartender3 on slaves (would have converted to macaroon after 3.0 patch).
Jamba
This is turning out to be a great consolidated multibox mod. I have run into some bugs but I have confidence they will be fixed. Going to stick with this one for sure and let me delete several other mods that do simular things.
Keepfollowing (Jamba does this? haven't tried it yet, but this one works great!)
I used to follow by pressting a /follow macro. This replaced that and is so reliable. Only thing that sucks about it is it breaks drinking, but you can do a special in game macro to work around it, but I rather just not have it follow when you start drinking instead.
Macaroon (Main).
This Addon is amazing and very powerful. Unlimmited buttons and does not seem to mess with keybindings when I switch PC's as long as I use the macro version (simular to Bindpad). The thing I like about it most is on Pally tank can put Hand of Salv or BoP right next to the character bar (pitbull)... so when a slave gets agro I just click the button right next to their name. You can even bind the bars to only show up if you have a target, certain party member is in group, combat, etc. Overall I like it MUCH better then bartender which I have used for a long time.
Auctioneer (light version with just Appraiser, not the suite... WAAAAY faster)
I had the suite for ahwile and it was so slow... I mostly used it cause I had huge stacks of items after running several heroics (shards, dust, etc) and wanted them to split and easy to post. Also for jewelcrafting this is a must have since you are always price matching (appraiser). I tried the lite version which has appraiser and it was at least 10x faster searching and posting auctions... Much better now.
Decursive
Have seperate wireless mouses on 2 other PC's used to click stuff (Mages on one, priest on other). This is super easy for both mage and priest to clear curses, box turns red, click, goodness.
Fubar (different colors for each character)
I mostly use this for performance fu (like to see the lag meter) and the fact I can have custom colors for each mage. Colors is much easier to quickly glance at then processing their names in the brain, especially in the morning.
Pitbull (again different colors in the Player health bar that matches the fubar color)
Same as fubar, really like how you can have a custom background color for the player health bar and make it really big, makes it much easier to glance at status, resizeable, movable, etc. On my main the buff tracking and castbars of the slaves is a MUST have and the fact I can make them really big to see what spell they are casting at all times and how long it is till the spell hits, their targets, etc.
ZOMGBuffs
One button buffing. Has some bugs but overall it's useable.
Recount
I always monitor the DPS of the mages to check their specs and if they are working properly (do a lot of heroics).
OpenAll
Do a lot of AH stuff. Like being able to push button and "automate" looting of the mail.
Smartqueue
- Great for automated AV joins, leaving bg's, etc...
SimpleMiniMap
Resizes the map. I make it smaller on most but very large on Gatherer slave so I can see the dots easier since that window is usually in the PiP.
