View Full Version : People on Reckoning getting tired of being insta-gibbed I guess

Been doing the AV grind for about a week now, and people are starting to notice me. Fellow horde are starting to follow behind me heal-botting, and following me as I clear turtles. However, I'm starting to recognize Alliance names (mainly warriors and such, that can fear-bomb) are targeting my group more and more. Guess the lightning-column-of-death is pretty memorable when you're on the recieving end :p
Anyone starting to gain such notoriety in the battlegrounds?

I'm itching to start. I feel I need a little but more practice with totem timing and such, but I'll be rocking AV in about a week or two. (or getting rocked)

I played a bunch of AB back in the low 60's, this mage kept finding me and impaling herself on me... no matter which point I'd go to she would ride around til she found my totem forest and try to kill me...
Normal tactic would be run in, blink, iceblock @ 10%... thaw out... die...
I never did figure out how that was supposed to be effective.

Warriors arent too much of a problem, most I have run into tend to whirlwind more than think about fearing. Warlocks stay as far away as possible unless they have instant howl. Priests always run into my group and blow their fear from the start. Whats funny is when they stop and turn around to 4 chain lightnings to the face. I tend to have the worst problems with rogues still. The smart ones will sap/blind/gouge three of my four then stun lock my fourth to zero. That caliber of rogue is not very common though. Most rogues won't do anything until they have a group to back them up. I did have one last night while holding a tower in AV that would just keep sapping one of my group and then running away until the sap wore off, then come back and sap another. I popped a fire ele and it caught him during one of his sap attempts.
Be careful midfield between Galv and Belinda, I have found that fear classes love to try and get me when running through there.

Yea, I run into a lot of rogues with the fatal assumption that taking out the leader will render me useless. Most die from 4 CL's and a volley of frost shocks.
haha I've seen you in AV :) good thing I'm on the right side of the lightning column.

I should hopefully be on tonight, probably 6 central till whenever I go OOW(out of Weller's).

I have mages coming to find me almost every game now though. The ones I know that try to run in and aoe me I try to get them first but alot of the times they will catch me on my blind side.
Warriors are np really....sometimes hunters depending on how hard they hit. Mind you I dont have much in the way of gear atm

If I catch them at range however, it's game over for them. Hunters really don't hurt me too much usually..they may kill my main, but ever since I went to the targetless/focusless setup I still take them with my other four.
I'm in blues and a couple greens, from the group quests in Nag and Netherstorm. Got my PvP gloves last night, so that was a noticeable improvement already. Hope to get the helm soon, then I guess it's off to EotS after that.

Hmm. I might have to spend some time in AV tonight. I've mostly been running it on my resto shammy who has also become my raiding main. Guess its time to respec and head to AV. You'll likely get the best of me though, I've been spending more time in PvE situations with my group than PvP.

Fear isn't really an issue imo. tremors ftw.
In AV, at midfield you can see a warrior/priest/warlock coming at you soon enough to drop a totemfarm to counter the fear. It happens rarely that i get feared and get killed because of it. Allthough the resilience helps ofcourse. I just target my shaman who get's hit, spam lesser healing wave till the fear is over, regroup and keep my shamans healed. Drop totems while regrouping and gank. Only had it happen with several horde, so regrouping + totems was needed.
at lvl 65-69 i would often meet a lvl 69 semitwinked mage, who ran at me when he saw me and try to kill me. I killed him and would walk 30 yards if that would give me te possiblity to kill him. After a few days he made a lvl 1 toon and started to insult me etc etc. I told him that i would leave him alone(planned on dinging 70 anyway :P) if he left me and suddenly he was all interested in how multiboxing worked etc. Amuzing how the haters/whiners can change their attitude/opinion in a matter of seconds.

Im in Eots and Ab and Av atm. I like EoTS because my 4 shamans and a pally seem well suited to holding a tower. AV I try and defend and as Im horde Im usually very lonely and facing the entire alliance team and dying in about a second. The jumpy mages hurt me like hell--a good rogue is nasty. I use decursive for pally cleanses and its a nice addon. Warlocks stay at range at usually seed me. Im very new to MB pvp so if Im against about 3+ alliance Im usually toast. Wearing PvE greens and blues doesnt help much though ;-)
Havent had any bad comments yet even in AB/EOTS but my battlegroup sucks so hard on EU horde are usually amazed if tey win anyway. Im not used to that I came from a battlegroup which won everything tothis one--its sad.

IN AV I like to go stright to Balinda. I drop 4 fire elementals and wait:) 75% of games I will keep her up without being wiped. Once they give up i can usually take back SH or IW and thats what I do for the rest of game, keep out towers and watch out for Balinda.
