View Full Version : Stretch Run to Outlands - 52 to 58 (Non-RaF)

I tried a few searches but its a bummer that the engine doesn't do well with numbers. I'm wondering if we shouldn't have a seperate sub-forum for leveling guidance?

Anyway, I'm non RAF (my team started a few months back and I'm leisurely ;) ). My four boostees are level 52. I've already done Hinterlands, Felwood, and Western Plaguelands.

I'm wondering if Winterspring, Eastern Plaguelands and (I dread it) Silithus will be enough to get me to 58. I'm thinking no chance.

So, any thoughts on other zones to quest, if any?

Alternatively, if I need to use my booster to help my team grind some instances should I do that now or burn out my remaining old world quests first?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Thanks Fur.

I did mention that I've done Western Plaguelands. Netted me probably a level and a half.

I've avoided Un'Goro, but I probably should hit it.

Burning Steppes is a zone I'm not that familiar with, but scanning Wowhead's quest database shows a very limited amount of quests. (I'm horde and it looks like there is a disproportionate amount of quests there for alliance).

Already have done Searing Gorge too. ;)

Instance quests I hadn't thought of. When I leveled my main I was catching up with friends who were already 70 so I skipped almost all the old world instances other than Scholo. I'll have to look into that one. Great idea. Thanks!

There's about 20 zilions quests for BRD alone :-)
Then you add Dire Maul, Strat, Scholo, and LBRS and you should be done :-)
Depending on your booster you should be able to do those instances alone, so with 4 low levels tagging along it should be easy(ish)

Silithus is actually quite good imo. Quite a few quests there. And Burning steps is good for at least a lvl. Winterspring is good with some go kill X quests. Definately do Ungoro, heaps of kill X quests and such. Only a few collecting ones. Also, make sure you do the power crystals quests there. Only need 7 of each colour for each char, and the crystals are tradeable so you dont need to alt tab to loot. You hand them all in for good xp, then are sent out on 3 seperate quests to find a pylon (north, west, east) and get reasonable xp for handing each of those back in. Also, at least start linkens sword chain which starts from the wrecked boat somewhere south east of the middle, it takes you up to winterspring for part of it.

Have you done felwood? If not, do it now, at least 3/4 of a lvl there still.

Lessee.., Un'Goro should be good to around lvl 55 and from there I usually head to Silithus or Winterspring (I used WS before Silithus had been around. These places have plenty of quests to get you through the levels. If you have a booster however, you may want to consider scholomance, brd, dire maul and stratholme (plenty of quests for strat and scholo from epl and wpl). For questing Silithus treated me best of all as it has a ton of quests.

I boosted my shaman through BRD for those final levels and I'm very glad I did so. There's very nice gear in there and a trinket that should make outlands easier: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=11832. Combined with my level 50 class quest trink from Sunken Temple http://www.wowhead.com/?item=20503 , I'm sitting pretty. :D

Even if your team is not made of Shaman, it's a fun instance to do. It takes 3-4 runs to clear all the quests (there are a ton!). Use Jame's free Guild to BRD: http://wow-pro.com/node/591 - It helped me out a lot.

I'm not sure how viable an option this would be for a 5 man team below level 60. Has anyone tried that? There's also Scholomance and Strat.

Tanaris is still good for something at 52. Hinterlands is kool.

Felwood/WinterSpring.

In Winterspring there is a quest that starts off of a drop for a +29 spell damage trinket. This is a pretty good trinket and well worth your time. I think the whole chain starts off of an "empty vial". I still had this trinket equipped as a 70.

52-> ungoro you can basically do one big circle counter clockwise and get about 10ish quests done, if you know where to go. Great Mbing quests. Then if you can do BRD I'd say go there and make sure you have all the quests before you start.

Definately do Ungoro, heaps of kill X quests and such. Only a few collecting ones.
Everyone mentions Ungoro but when I scan wowhead most of them seem to be collection quests (bones, petals, crystals, etc.) I remember questing there with my main EONS ago and simply can't remember the details. Maybe I'll have to give it a twirl.

That said I'm thinking some instancing might be more fun.

Regardless, thanks ALL for your feedback. Great community here!
