Melee and healer duo

I just need a general pointers, not step by step instructions. I want to doublebox WoW rogue and a priest. Simply because I have them at the same level on 2 accounts. Do I have to select some keys that are unused on the master (rogue) account to perform actions on the slave (priest) account to perform actions and bind them to macros? Just tell me, please, if I am on the right track. I am using Octopus on a single machine. So far I can run 2 instances of WoW and get keystrokes replicated between them.

from what i can tell it seems as though youre on the right track. the way it works is you bind keys on the alt accounts to macros then on the the main account when you push the button the multiplexer presses your macro. simple as that. if youve got it replicating keys then thats half the battle. personally i have it replicating all keys except w,a,s,d i keep those for my main only. every other key is fair game you just gotta figure a way to set it up.

currently my keys are set up like this:

2- fires off mages fireballs and lock's shadowbolt
q- is all the lock's DoTs on a cast sequence
3- is shaman heal main or main's friendly target
4- drain soul to make shards
5- earth shock for spell interupt and occasional just-for-fun quick finisher
0- all clone buffs
e- is life tap
t with modifiers- is the shamans totems

at level 26 thats all ive needed so far it will get much more complex. i havent integrated the other spells in yet cause im easily clearing the instances as it is so i decided to keep it simple for now till it just wont cut it anymore.

I run warrior/disc priest (currently 61+60).
I have bound renew and downranked greater heal with some seldom used abilites on my warrior. Also shield.
And I have other stuff bound on slave(priest) that does nothing on my warr.

I can't quite understand how replication of all keys can work for different classes. I use number keys on my main for main action bar. But slave (healer) doesn't have same skills. I also play Priest solo sometimes, so I use this action bar. Does it mean Priest's main action bar should be empty?

Does it mean Priest's main action bar should be empty?This forum takes a while to get used to, I keep losing my posts by typing in the Source Code tab.

I'm going to be doing this soon with my 70 shaman and 70 warrior. I'll either use Action Bar 2 and have half the bar for warrior abilities and half for shaman abilities, with maybe some crossover abilities in the middle e.g. 6 for Whirlwind on the warrior and Chain Lightning on the shaman. Alternatively, I'll block the number keys and have shaman abilities on other keys such as Alt-T for a totem castsequence, Alt-H for Heal, Alt-C for Chain Lightning, Alt-L for Lightning Bolt, etc.

One thing I don't understand is how key passthrough can work for chat, you'll end up saying the same thing on all characters, or if you press "R" to reply to a whisper, then the other toons will all jump when you press space, open the Talents window when you press N, etc. I guess with Keyclone you could have [/] as your "disable pass-through" button, and [Enter] as your "re-enable pass-through" button.

With Keyclone, i have the Pause/Break button as my default do-not-pass-anything button. its easy to reach as its off in the corner. =]

firstly i cleared all my in game action bar keybindings on all clients. then using bongos2 i set my action bars up like in this screen shot on all clients.

then after that i just placed the spells in and bound them to the keys i wanted for each one separately on each client. that way the only overlap i get is overlap i want. also note that you dont have to bind every action button to a key i usually leave the bottom bar playable solo as in no macros there so that if i want to solo and mess around i dont have to change anything.
