Old school Counter-Strike (1.6??)

Hey all, back in my pre-MMO days I used to play Counter-Strike obsessively. Didn't care of CS:Source, not sure why, just didn't have the same appeal.

Regardless, I was wondering if this game can still be purchased? I lost my key and steam info years ago but am getting the itch to play again. I checked Gamestop and they only offer Source or an XBox version (utterly lame).

Anyway, if anyone has any info it'd be much appreciated!

Hey there, yea 1.6 cs is a good game :)

Anyway, if you download steam at www.steampowered.com (http://storefront.steampowered.com/download/SteamInstall.msi direct link) you can make a new account after you installed steam, and just pay for cs 1.6(think there is some box offers where you get some more games in it) Anyway, its really easy m8, no need to save a cd key, it will be saved on your account. They also got some really good low price games sometimes. Hope this was what you were looking for :)

Yeah, I actually don't like most shooters. There was just something about CS that made it special to me. I played the CoD demo and was pretty much "meh". TF2 seems just goofy to me. Anyhow...
