New boxer with addon problems

I have been boxing for about a week or so now and dont think I'm doing to bad. The forums have help alot and want to say very nice job on them. Lots of info. But I came across this problem last night when I was trying to down load and use multiboxer addon. I down loaded it and installed just like I have with all my addons but it does not show up when I log into wow under my addon page. So I deleted and started all over same thing. I tryed other addons and nothing. I didnt have this problem before I started boxing. The only things I have done in the last week or so were a new video card/keyclone/and install a g15 keyboard and driver. Just woundering if anybody could help me on this subject or if it had to do with the keyclone program. Thanks for the help

Make sure when you extract the addon into your addons folder that it isnt nested inside another folder eg. Make sure its Interface/Addons/"Addon name"/bunch of files and not Interface/Addons/"Addon name"/"Addon name"/bunch of files or any other variation.

In this case "Addon Name" would be MultiBoxer and PitBull_MultiBoxer_PartyExperienceBar (theres 2 folders) and not MultiBoxerv2_0.5/MultiBoxer

Thanks for the quick reply. I got it to load and works. Now to just try and get it set up. Kinda lost on that part also. I can only get addon on performance to show the libs stuff. Nothing about multiboxing or does it only come up when I am actualy boxing?

It should come up just by you having it turned on in the character selection screen. You can access its options by typing /mb ingame. Keep in mind, you'll also need the addon enabled on each alt for it to work.

If you use Focus in your macros to determin your main I would suggest changing all the 'party1' in the addon (when you type /mb) to 'focus'.

The relm I'm on was down over lunch so I was on another toon on a different server and wasnt boxing is that why it did not come up maybe? Or should it come up if I'm on just one toon? Also you had in your last reply about pit bull. The onlythings on the addon I downloaded were a file called libs and Multiboxer.

It works on any character on any realm regardless of your boxing or not (aslong as its been enabled in the character selection screen).

Are you using version2? I would delete the addon from your addons folder and try downloading the on in this thread ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=7195') instead.

I would also have a look at Jafula's Jamba ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=12887') multiboxing addon. Its far superior to the old multiboxing addon (I've yet to use it though).

Thanks again for all the help. I will try and delete it tonight after work and redownload. Also I'll try and do somemore reserch on both addons. Maybe try them both out. Just trying to keep everything pretty simple but a addon to accept quest and to follow after fights would be very cool. I have a 2 70 druids one balance and one resto and working on 2 more to be 3 balance one resto for pvp/questing so I have most the macros down for how I wana dps just working on how I will set up the resto druid to heal one target at a time. Its a working progress but very very fun. Also was watching a video where a person was boxing 5 druids and right before they would attach the druids would seperate out in a formation and spread out. Is that a addon of some sort or a macro? Thanks again for the help.

Formation is not done by addons but by simply binding the same key for different directions on each alt. Eg. you bing '[' (or any other unused key) to be left on Alt1, Right on Alt2, Back on Alt3 etc. then when you press the key they all move in thier unique directions.

Just wanted to say thanks again I went with the other addon and it works AWSOME. Saved me lots of time. Also have one more question. Right now I box 2 toons just to get the hang of it and my computer seems to run fine. But I have noticed in shat it seems to drop a bit on fps but still runs fine. I was woundering if I list my Computer set up if you guys could give me a idea on if you think it will be able to run 4 toons with 2 monitors. Let me know and I'll list the specs. Thanks
