Purchased Keyclone a few minutes ago. Using Windows XP with all the latest patches.

The program wont exit. I searched the forum (as I notice the regulars rip you a new one if you dont) and noticed a couple people had the same problem but no response was given.

There is no exit button. Clicking X slows my system to a crawl while it minimizes the program to the clock area of the taskbar, but it stays active. Clicking, double clicking, and right-clicking on the Keyclone icon does nothing.

So the only way to exit the program, is ctrl-alt-del and terminate the program by hand. This seems very bad behavior for a program.

I have this issue too, dont just exit the program by clicking the X actually right click the task bar and exit. works much better

Right click the system tray icon, choose exit.

My method for exiting is to minimize the app, then select exit from the System Tray icon. If I accidentally click the X, I find going into task manager and killing the program acceptable and haven't had any side effects from that yet.

Another quick question.

Is there supposed to be an install program?

Does it use Windows registry settings? How would I uninstall this program?

there is no typical install program. keyclone does not touch the registry and all files are within the keyclone folder... no files slip into ethe windows system/system32 folder (which install apps do all the time)

to uninstall... just delete the folder (be aware that you would lose your settings and layouts if they were saved in the folder, of course)

Any idea why keyclone's minimize and close buttons do not work (they slow the system to a crawl for a good 10 seconds and then don't actually minimize or exit)? The only method that works reliably and fast is to use the system try and selet Exit instead. It's been like this for a long time actually at least on Vista (tried on both 32bit and 64bit). I thought it might have had something to do with turning off Aero but I can't test this now being at work.

If I remember right, thats a common bug that everyone is dealing with. Just use the systray options to exit instead of hitting the close button.

The question is why its doing it and see it fixed instead rather than try to ignore the problem any futher.

My mistake...I should've said "Just use the systray options to exit instead of hitting the close button until a fix is implemented". I didn't mean to suggest Keyclone is ignoring the problem (if thats what you got from what I said). I just ment its not just you, that its happening to alot of others and Keyclone is aware of it.
