you use wow emotes in everyday speech.

I was talking to a fellow wowhead at work and we were having a conversation unrelated to WoW.

I actually came out with the phrase "slash flex"

Perhaps it's time to cut back on wow.

In what ways does your wow addiction rear it's head in real life?

Yeah, sad to say that latelly I don't even laugh anymore, I just think or say "slash lol" too, even among the family.

But of course not with external persons/professional matters. :D

hehe, the "LoL"

In my younger days I used to think all those people using lol were dutch :s
"we hadden een hoop lol" = "we had a lot of fun"
So when I'm using it at work no-one really is amazed by it.
(it helps to work in IT aswell and they already know my gaming addiction/passion/hobby/"whatever you name it")

The worst thing which happens to me is actually thinking I'll have to do RL things 5 times.
It was worst when I just started boxing,
especially after the first few nights I was demotivated to get up in the morning because I had no clue where to start with the macro for brushing my teeth.
Then again, I don't really wake up in the morning,
I sleepwalk my way to the shower without much of a clue of what's going on and my brain starts working once I get out.
Unless my cats left me a "present" somewhere in the house. :pinch:

Well, WoW addiction is bad enough, but I have been having nightmares where my "change leader" macro quit working at a bad time. I've also had one where I had to collect 60 perfect stag horns for each toon :pinch:

When your ring tone is an Orc saying "For the Horde!" followed by the sound of an Orc laughing that you recorded yourself.

When at a family get together, i asked my little cousin what level she is now...

When you cannot fall asleep at night because your three rogues are not doing their backstabs even though you macrod them correctly.

I once woke up in the morning before i had to leave to work at seven and said, "dam it, i dont want to make three sandwhiches"
Thus i realized
I dont multibox irl.

Or lastly when you do wish you multiboxed in real life for things like
i have to study for a test
i have to write a paper
i want to play wow

... why cant i do all three, cry.

When stuck in traffic and you tag a car ahead of you and you /follow but nothing happens :(

When you have nightmares about your multiboxing/wow addiction. (Happens all the time :()

When you forget to eat because your RAF is giving you so much XP and its 1030 at night and you have not had dinner yet.

Now lets say it all together people!

"I AM A WOW ADDICT. AND I HAVE A PROBLEM!"

First rule of dealing with a problem/addiction is to admit that you have a problem/addiction.

You're in the car and need to make a lane change, and your first reaction is to try to press "q" with your left hand to strafe left.
